Poor lefty....doesn't want Trump to talk about assassination attempt!

Holding charges....Dullard much?

By the time the State of FL and the Feds are done with stacking charges upon him he will need a U-Haul to carry his time to prison.

LOL....At least his retirement plan is secure. :laughing0301:
They probably ought to come up with more threatening charges by Friday, if they expect to keep him locked up, before trial, without bail. It is doubtful those two charges have had judges rejecting bond in that state.

Maybe because (so far) there is no evidence that he even pulled a trigger.

But charges can change once a case goes to a grand jury.

If you point a rifle at a former President (one who is running again for the presidency), after lying in wait for like 12 hours, offhand it seems like your little plot was indeed to murder the man.

For purposes of at least arresting him and holding him in, the gun charges are sufficient.

He is likely to still be charged with an attempted assassination

He is being held under pretrial detention.
Grand Jury is not required and is time consuming. The Feds can charge without a grand jury, make the case to the Bonding Judge of the serious nature, backed up by premliminary evidence, in order to continue pretrial confinement as a continuing danger. Things have started coming out, already of writings by the suspect, and proven connections overseas. Just a felon with a weapon, that has had a serial number scratched off, is usually not enough to justify denial of bond, in most cities and states. They need to move quicker and put out more of what they know. In the end all prosecutor evidence is turned over to defense, anyway.
Oh, and too my knowledge, he was engaged by Secret Service before getting a shot off, himself.

No. The Feds cannot charge him sufficiently to bring him to trial without a grand jury indictment.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Trump is definitely a legit bad ass.

999 out of a thousand men would have withdrawn from the race after 2 attempts on his life.

But the Trumpster refuses to cower to the Left and their attempts to rub him out.

Loves this country and her people too much just to do the easy thing and quit.

The key in my view of dealing with this piece of shit who tried to whack Trump is public execution of the perp.

There is precedence in the 1757 attempted assassination of Louis XV by Robert-François Damien, who was promptly executed.

He does not appear to have gotten a shot off, so definetly not a Capital Crime or death penalty possibility. Not sure whether fits definition of infamouse crime or not, but I am no lawyer.

Infamous Crime Explained

Infamous crimes typically involve offenses that reflect moral turpitude, such as fraud, perjury, or serious violent crimes. The designation of a crime as "infamous" can have implications beyond the immediate legal penalties, affecting the individual's social standing and legal rights, such as the right to hold public office or testify in court.
