I can't say I'm shocked people are criticizing this. Another reason to do alms privately. But he is giving so can't we just be grateful for that? If it helps others or inspires others to give or whatever lets just happy he is helping

Agreed, neither he or anybody else are obligated to donate. Only problem is why even talk about it a real philanthropist would not bother to announce it, just donate on the QT. Not criticizing because he is under no obligation to donate, just not getting the hoopla.

You know, most of the people I know who like to get credit for their donations usually donate the money FIRST, and then brag about it second.

Trump has it backwards...............he's bragging about all the money he's going to donate, but we have yet to see if he actually does.

I don't know if he has donated, just find it odd that you would even talk about it. If he did great for the people of east Texas, but no matter what just STFU about it.
