There are black people starting to speak out about black violence including black on black violence. They are to be commended and listened to. Unfortunately white liberals dismiss them.

As critical as this discussion is, it ain't gonna happen until all sides are given equal weight. We have to talk about the racism that obviously still exists from the white community, but then we'd also have to talk about the destruction of the family, fatherless children, lowered standards and rampant crime that exists in the black community.

I don't see Obama, Sharpton or Jackson even allowing such a discussion right now. They're great at providing lip service for their constituency, not so much at advancing a comprehensive conversation.

First you make a blanket statement as if Zimmerman was white, blaming something that happened that had absolutely NOTHING to do with race on whites. Then you push the point home with the destruction of the black community that can only be assumed to mean by the white racists you obviously think are the problem.

You are right, there never will be a honest conversation if you have those misguided thoughts.

And no, I think the destruction of the black family and the inability of blacks to assimilate into the larger American society are largely a result of strategies such as Political Correctness and Identity Politics.

And the real question is why are you and other white conservatives afraid of having this discussion?

Indeed, African-Americans would very much like to engage in a discussion with you and other white conservatives about race – but white conservatives refuse to even entertain the idea. In fact, there are white conservatives who even make the argument that racism no longer exists in American, that racism is ‘kept alive’ by democrats as some kind of partisan contrivance.

If white conservatives are going to continue to exhibit this type of disregard and disdain for the views and opinions of black America, if white conservatives are going to continue to ridicule and belittle the opinions of African-Americans concerning matters of race, then yes, African-Americans will have no other choice than to engage in this discussion with the rest of America, where white conservatives are excluded as a consequence of their own decision to not participate in the debate.

It's understandable why Meet the Press is having such a panel due to the very low turnout yesterday for the TM rallies. Most sensible blacks had more important things to do yesterday.
