I don't know anyone else, who is a liberal, who would even begin to think blacks are "inferior"

Based on how far left my liberal freinds are...they range from total and mindless support for color blindness, to believeing that any disadvantages blacks have, as a cultural group, are the fault of white people, and need to be corrected by affirmative action.

The liberals on this site constantly argue against conclusions reached by conservative posters, that involve statistics and arguments created by conservative posters, that suggest blacks are violent, entitled, and without ambition.

The idea that liberals are asserting racist behavior that is damaging to blacks, is kind of like hearing Tony Perkins say something like the people of San Francisco hate gays more than any other city in the country.

I just don't know where to begin unwinding how backwards the notion is you're putting forth.

Liberals see black people as their children that need to be cared for by their loving and caring parents, the liberal.

Conservatives see black people as grown ups who are able to take care of themselves and make their own decisions.

Was affirmative action meant to be a permanent program?. At what point does it become an admission that certain group cannot compete and a true meritocracy is not sustainable with their abilities?

Their has been precious little progress with that program, especially for black Americans. That might not be surprising given that everywhere in the world blacks are found they are uniformly less accomplished than all others in educational fields.

Right, the GOP will never acknowledge the progress AA has made, they'll just poopoo it because it hasn't resulted in perfect equality, yet.

I keep hearing righties say the left wants blacks to continue to be disadvantged because they need the voters, but righties are also the first to want to get rid of AA. Conservatives simply don't think the liberal approach is any help at all, and in fact is a hindrance. It's the 70 year-old mother still washing the 50 year-old son's clothes, cooking his food, making his bed, letting him live at home for free, etc. While mom's heart may be in the right place, she's really keeping sonny boy reliant on her rather than teaching him to be his own man. Her help is no help at all.

Based on how far left my liberal freinds are...they range from total and mindless support for color blindness, to believeing that any disadvantages blacks have, as a cultural group, are the fault of white people, and need to be corrected by affirmative action.

The liberals on this site constantly argue against conclusions reached by conservative posters, that involve statistics and arguments created by conservative posters, that suggest blacks are violent, entitled, and without ambition.

The idea that liberals are asserting racist behavior that is damaging to blacks, is kind of like hearing Tony Perkins say something like the people of San Francisco hate gays more than any other city in the country.

I just don't know where to begin unwinding how backwards the notion is you're putting forth.

Liberals see black people as their children that need to be cared for by their loving and caring parents, the liberal.

Conservatives see black people as grown ups who are able to take care of themselves and make their own decisions.

That's pretty much it.

Conservatives simply don't think the liberal approach is any help at all, and in fact is a hindrance. It's the 70 year-old mother still washing the 50 year-old son's clothes, cooking his food, making his bed, letting him live at home for free, etc. While mom's heart may be in the right place, she's really keeping sonny boy reliant on her rather than teaching him to be his own man. Her help is no help at all.
