The unsupported conclusion imbedded in that opinion is that blacks are inferior, and that's why it's that way.Oh God, the Stormfront contingency has shown up to rate your posts as "informative" or "agree"....I don't see many Conservatives, on this site, viewing black people as grown ups who are able to take care of themselves, and make their own decisions. That's really just another way of saying "screw affirmative action, they're on their own".
You can't have it both ways....
The statistics are clear...blacks have higher illiteracy and incarceration, and lower affluence statistics, per capita.
Either affirmative action has not been given long enough...or one must think blacks are inferior, and AA will never work.
I don't know any liberals that see black people as their children, that need to be cared for by their loving and caring parents. That is condescending and I don't know any liberals that would even consider that. What you're talking about is sipmly support for the narrative "screw affirmative action, blacks are on thier own"
This attitude has roots in the old confederacy. Slave holders who had relationships with their slaves, felt rejected when they were free. They thought "after all I've done for you!"........
Now...conservatives look on affirmative action the same way..."after all those advantages we gave you, you're still not as good as us"
That's very childish.
The statistics are clear...blacks have higher illiteracy and incarceration, and lower affluence statistics, per capita.
Either affirmative action has not been given long enough...or one must think blacks are inferior, and AA will never work.
Affirmative action will never work.....the reason for the higher illiteracy rates...the democrats control inner city education through their teachers unions...they preserve union power at the expense of improving education for inner city kids....
And the worst of the democrats know....keeping minorities, poor, illiterate, uneducated, and angry...makes them good democrat voters....
Affirmative action has been a major success. All families have benefitted from it
Creating a separate class based on skin color.....a success???
The black experience in the US is significantly different than any other immigrant groups, both before, and after, slavery
There is a cancerous culture of ignorance and racism that is propogated in the black community.
One must consider similar cultures, oppressed the same way over centuries, and whether or not they share some of those disadvantages.
You'll have to look at other countries for those groups. No other groups besides Native Americans, have had similar experiences in the US.
Why don't we compare the incarceration, illiteracy, and affluence statistics for Native Americans, with blacks....
