Putin becomes the Voice of Reason

What Putin said makes sense.

That does not mean that they admire him. They agree with whatt he said.

Dude, you need to make logical connections, not vapid connections.

Smilebong, words have meanings, and you don't get to redefine them. The vapid connections is your redefinitions.

The logical connection is that the far reactionary right is trying to tear down a man they hate at a critical time in our foreign policy with the ME, so these folks (who have accused BHO of being a commie) are now cosying up with the commies.

Those are your words.

Neither of the posters you mentioned admire Putin.

They agree with his assessment of the current situation.

You conclude that they are cosying up with communists, whatever that means. It is a vapid, empty, senseless, connection. You make no sense.

You have any idea what a true patriot does when some 2 bit commie dictator criticizes the President of the United States?

It isn't that we think of him as a hero. We DO see his as a leader and wish our president had some leadership qualities. Obama isn't even leading from behind anymore. His impotence has precluded any decisiveness and rendered the citizens of America, vulnerable because of it.

Oh, pleeeeease.

He is NOT a leader.

He is a dictator-wanna-be.

As is obama.

Both are just not up for the job.

Putin is using the moment and from the standpoint of his benefits - he should.

Our idiot desperately needs a war to divert the attention from his internal failures and abuses. But the opposition to this war is so wide that he is not brave enough to jump into it without hesitation.

All of this does not make putin any more better than obama is.

Leadership as in the context of power, authority and ability to control!

you don't need much abilities to lead and control being an autocrat. In those circumstances our "dear leader" would be able to look leadershilesque as well.

You guys are ridiculous.
You clearly don't know anything about putin to assume he IS a leader.
Putin is one of the meanest and weakest people possible.
He is just in a system that he can manipulate to LOOK better.

And even then - he is laughable at his quest to look as a superman - half the world was laughing at his staged amphora find, at his tiger stunt and myriad other "ego-pumping" episodes. Not to mention his craze about his height

Someone said Vlad is a lesbian...izzat tru???

If only we could have Putin as our president and a business friendly government like China.

Sunni Man and Katzndogz admit that they admire the former KGB chief of communist Russia.

obama MADE this a critical time in our foreign policy. He bungled the foreign policy. The best thing obama could do is take the advice of someone who has not bungled foreign policy.

So you want a former commie and current leader of Russia running American foreign policy. Alger Hiss would have considered you god-like.

OK, we have it from the mouths of the reactionaries: they love commies.

In this case, Obama is right and his political enemies are wrong: they love commies, to boot.

who cares.

he is a man overboard with his complexes and to call him a leader is just a signature of not understanding what this midget really is.

The OP is Putin as voice of reason, Vox, so let's stay on track.

You are saying you want a communist running our foreign policy. I am sure that Putin wants that too.

This pretty much sums up Obama's clueless foreign policy:

Andy Borowitz, resident satirist at The New Yorker, summed it up with the headline “Obama Promises Syria Strike Will Have No Objective.” Here’s his pretend Obama quote: “Let me be clear. Our goal will not be to effect régime change, or alter the balance of power in Syria, or bring the civil war there to an end. We will simply do something random there for one or two days and then leave.”

Russia sharply steps up criticism of U.S. over Syria - The Washington Post

MOSCOW – Russia dramatically escalated its denunciations of American threats to attack Syrian military targets on Saturday, as President Vladimir Putin called the arguments about chemical weapons that underlie the U.S. case “utter nonsense.”

The Foreign Ministry said a U.S. attack would be a “gross violation” of international law.

Speaking out for the first time since an alleged chemical weapons attack near Damascus on Aug. 21, Putin called on President Obama to find a nonviolent way out of the crisis.

“I would like to address Obama as a Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Before using force in Syria, it would be good to think about future casualties,” Putin told Russian news agencies in Vladivostok during a tour of the country’s flood-stricken Far East.

“Russia is urging you to think twice before making a decision on an operation in Syria,” he said.

Next week’s Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg would be a good forum for discussing the Syrian issue, he said, “so why not take advantage of it?”

Katz, you really need to move to Russia and live under Putin's dictatorship. You are so naive.

Putin is the voice of Mother Russia.

The old Mother Russia.

And this from the link in the OP:

Putin said he was sure the attack was the work of rebels trying to provoke international — and especially American — involvement in the Syrian conflict. The regime of Bashar al-Assad, he said, would have had no reason to use chemical weapons at a time when it had gained the upper hand in the fighting.

Will Barry still put our country at risk of reprisal, to "save weak face?"
