Quit Calling it a "Health Care" Bill ...

If costs continue to increase and we have fewer insured it will be quite easy. What in the bill will lower costs?
Removing government mandated coverage. Some things just shouldn't be covered in a national tax payer funded health ins plan because it is not a medical necessity like gender transformation and things like that. That one thing will cut costs by billions. If you want an abortion or a nose job pay for it yourself, if you have a decease or you are sick you are covered.

If they did such a good job, why did they exempt themselves from the new rules that allow states to waive essential benefits??
A senator and a congressman are employers. They employ their staff. They exempt themselves on the same grounds that your employer if he or she offers a health plan exempts themselves.

Jesus, did I read that right??

You're an imbecile.

Trumpcare is not a "health care" bill.

It's a "massive tax cut for the rich at the expense of the poor and marginalized bill".

Refer to it in the future accordingly.

LOL triggered ^^^ whaaaa Trump took away my government hand outs :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: Look Obamacare was spiraling into the ground, Trump didn't take anything away those handouts were at best temporary and going away as Obamacare cratered.

i find the PR stunt at the whitehouse a bit amusing--- if the senate says ne'eh- not gonna get on board, then the house (R) will be looking even more ridiculous than they did today. they will also be going home & facing their constituents.

the (R) senators as well. then there is the CBO.

so it ain't quite over yet
The bill will change in the senate, hopefully for the better, then it goes back to the house for another vote. If the senate blows this bill up both the democrats and the republican senators will pay with their jobs and they know it. They also know Obamacare was dying fast. It's a done deal, it's over. The CBO will scream and shout but know one will be listening. This bill bails out both sides.

No you are.
Do you work? Do you work for a company that offers health ins? If you do you are working for an employer that is exempt from the ACA. It's no different than a senator or a congressman. They are employers and they provide ins for their staff through an insurance company, just like your boss if you have one.

Billions?

The affordable care act was for self employed one man businesses, employees that work for company that does not offer coverage, pre existing patients that couldn't get health ins. And young people that are in school or any other folks that couldn't get insurance through their employer and couldn't afford it themselves. That's it. If you are an employer that offers a plan you are exempted from signing up on the ACA. Even a congressman/employer...get it brain?

You're an imbecile.

Well you clearly don't have a superior argument here.

Iowa has no ocare insurers. They all pulled out.

Medica is still there. They have hinted they will leave next year.

But how many states will increase that by using the "opt out" option in the Republican bill?

Either way, this looks good for Democrats.

Those who hate Obamacare won't endorse Republicans who voted against repeal.

Those who hate this new bill will be sure to vote against those who supported it.

They're supposed to be working for us, asshole.

well no exactly, it is an insurance bill. insurances don't provide healthcare.

Obamacare was an unmitigated catastrophe.
And now the Republicans have found a way to make it even worse.
No one could find a way to make it worse.
And yet they did.

If you actually are foolish enough to bleev the GOP has not made things worse, put your money where your mouth is and don't come back to this forum until costs have come down.

Nice seeing you. Have a good life.
