Rand Paul;Disgusting jellyfish SLAMS voter ID law as "OFFENSIVE"

If the SCOTUS doesn't give Ted Cruz the greenlight to run, should Conservatives meltdown and go around the Court like liberals in the Hobby Lobby case?? Oh my....

Again, why engage in silly litigation, if no Republican candidate brings the issue to litigation, no Democrat should. I repeat, we need less showboating, not more.

Worry about yourself and your Democrat nominee. Ted Cruz will seek the office most likely.. regardless of what you think

Looks like Rand Paul is catering to the left. Conservatives will start distancing themselves from him. Ted Cruz is one of the few potential candidates who will not compromise on his views, I cannot picture Cruz ever turning RINO.

You won't have to picture it if he actually gets the nomination. You'll be able to watch him do it on TV. Personally, I think the candidate will be a governor, not a senator.

You little twerpy weasel.. This is the 2nd warning shot this moron has fired off now.. The last one was his stand with David Axelrod on amnesty.

I believe his point was that making this a major issue is a problem because it makes the party look crazy. Of course, for some the crazier the better so I can see how it would upset people. As they begin to eat their own I think the party leadership is finally understanding what Goldwater warned them about. Hopefully its not too late.

He's running for prez. For him, that means he's in favor and against everything.

And, the RWs will agree with him.

I posted I do not believe it should be an issue.

Peach does not sit on the SCOTUS. Her opinion is just that. Ted Cruz is going to run so we will see what they say as it will most likely go before them- Until then, it doesn't matter what Peach or anyone else says.

I already noted I would not sign on to any class action on the matter, taking a liberal interpretation of the Constitution would allow him to be President. Here is the link you requested:

And the far left will make it an issue to showboat and the loyal minions will follow suit. Some already are..

Aside from pointing out the absurdity of the issue, the left will not make an issue of it. The left would do nothing to interfere with a Cruz candidacy. It would be a dream come true for them.

I can't wait til the Republicans tear each other apart in the 2016 primaries.
You may get your wish.

If Billary runs, she will pretty much have a lock on it - no serious debate likely.

Whereas the Pubs have several realistic prospects, the debate will be livelier and more entertaining and memorable, and they will be more on the mind of the Voting Public, on Election Day.

After six years of a Failed Messiah, and the pseudo-autocracy that has accompanied his reign, America is already tired of the Imperial Presidency, and just about ready to give the Other Guys another chance.

That will certainly be the case after eight years of the same disappointments and failures and broken promises and pseudo-socialism.

Expect the 2016 GOP Clown Car to be full with none of the clowns willing to get off until the end of the primary season

Very true.

The Dems would love to campaign against Cruz in 2016

The guy is not exactly warm and cuddly. He even pisses off most Republicans

The headline is misleading. He believes us a states issue, believes in voter ID and just that it shouldn't be a defining issue.

I don't know how any Conservative can say with a straight face that they support a Rand Paul Presidential candidacy.

...because of one issue? You cons demand complete and total adherence to GOP ideology and if that person waviers on one thing you're ready to throw them out.

So open minded its sickening :doubt:

Rand is right. Voter ID is a distraction.

Paul did not criticize Voter ID for being bad policy, but for offending voters that Paul thinks could swing to the GOP.

This is a turnaround from the views he expressed at an April 2013 speech he gave at Howard University. In that speech, Paul defended voter ID laws against accusations that it discriminated against minorities.

“Showing your driver’s license to have an honest election I think is not unreasonable,” Paul said, “and I think that’s the main thing Republicans have been for.”

The GOP is famous for getting ensnared in silly side issues. They need to stick to the big issues.

That won't matter. The money is in keeping people angry, not thoughtful.

Could be... could be... but at least they'll keep the Pub agenda in the spotlight, whereas the Dem agenda will be largely ignored as a non-starter, after eight years of Obumble.

It will keep the far right agenda in the spotlight for months

Not too helpful in winning a general election
