How do these "pastors" propose to prevent the spread of disease, not only within their congregations, but also among people with whom their congregants come into contact afterwards?

I used to have a favorable view of religion, but its policies and practices have become so stupid and ignorant over the past few decades that I am wondering whether it is worth anything anymore.

Churches are the worst for this kind of thing. They can't keep their hands off each other. Everyone has to hug and shake hands and pack in as closely as possible. A nightmare in the making since churches are full of old people.

Methods can be taken to lessen the risk. Limits to people in the church, social distancing of non-family units. Spillover service broadcasts to parking lots with proper spacing. everyone wearing masks/gloves.

The issue is the blanket ban, and the fact of the matter that when it comes to Religion and Free Exercise, the government is required to use the least intrusive method when it comes to limiting said free exercise due to a compelling government interest.

did they recover? if so, is that different than any other time in the life of a human? people in my office get sick all the time, have since I first started work 43 years ago. why is this different? I've seen five of my colleagues die due to cancer in that time period, why is this different? I'm looking for what's different than our normal experiences. please enlighten me. Before March 6th I knew of several people who had the flu. maybe it wasn't the flu, but they all recovered. everyone. not an 80% death rate. I'm still waiting.

BTW, each colleague experienced different symptoms and time of exposure varied. all from the past. again, why is it different than the wuhan? I haven't seen one thing that shows why it's different. cough, everyone gets coughs, flu symptoms, been happening since life began I bet, temperature, everyone gets a temperature when they have infections. We have meds to limit the fever. have since man invented drugs. pneumonia, been around for centuries. people died due to it. And it was contagious. all of that is contagious. so still nothing different. still waiting.

In a store at least in my area the number of people inside are limited, the aisles are one way and everyone is required to wear a mask and it is easy to keep a distance from others.

In a church with people packed in the pews and stationary for long periods of time it is far easier for many people to be infected by just one person.

You really can't seem to think analytically at all.
