These wackos don’t realize that it is the people who make a nation, these statists believe it is the nation that makes the people.

Something similar happened in Austria shortly after WWI. Austrian capitalists began flooding the country with cheap Czech workers. This was even welcomed by some labor oriented parties because they wanted more members to increase their political power.
