Report: Bergdahl To Be Charged With Desertion

Odium

There's plenty of proof on the Internet if you want to check it out. Or you can wait until after the court martial board convicts him based on the statements made to them under oath and then wipe the egg off your face....

The anti american scum here cheering a POW being charged with a crime....sad day....they hate their president so much they rather cheer the soldier he got back in a prisoner swap being charged with a crime he didn't commit.
Total dumbshit. He wasnt a POW, nimrod. OR did you miss the last umpteen pages here?
I hate when people post without knowing anything whatsoever.
Yeah but you are all right wing hacks with no affinity for the truth so.

Guess he forgot his rifle when he went to take a piss, huh? And they're saying he sent stuff home after disappearing, so he must have been some kind of lost if he could find a post office, but not his base.
Got proof for these right wing talking points?
You are literally too stupid to engage. Bye,.

The Muslim and chief had Bergdahl's parents at the White House and traded five terrorists for this guy. Now he's being charged with desertion.

Way to maintain troop morale Obama:clap2::fu:

Thanks for admitting defeat so easily

I doubt any conviction would hold up on appeal.

Some questions I would like to see answered.

Who decided to enlist Bergdahl given the fact that he was discharged from the Coast Guard during basic training?

If they had evidence he had deserted at the time, why didn't they list him as a deserter? Why did they list him as a POW and promote him two more grades while in captivity.

How much was the use of go/no go pills a factor in his unit and for him particularly? Did that impair his judgement?

This is some ditzy kid who made a terrible mistake which cost the lives of his fellow soldiers. There isn't much doubt about that.

He should be charged and likely convicted, getting time served in Afghanistan.

The real idiot here is Obama who made an obscenely stupid deal in letting 5 very dangerous men go to fight again in a matter of months. This is the same man who is entrusted to make a deal with Iran.

This is the same man who is entrusted to make a deal with Iran.

Entrusted may be too strong a term.

How about...This is the same guy we are stuck with trying to force a stupid deal with Iran.

Isn't the idea supposed to be that we never leave behind a military member? Even if he is going to face criminal charges - it's done under our system.

Where do you get that idea from? Marvel or DC Comics?

We left behind hundreds of defectors and deserters in the Korean and Viet Nam Wars.

A deserter is, by definition, no longer part of the group

Do you leave behind prisoners of war? Isn't that what he was considered even though he eventually faces desertion charges?

No it is nothing close to the same. I know, in your pathetic left wing American hating world, a deserter is a hero. It is nothing close.

This fucking disgrace in the white house BROKE THE FUCKING LAW when he traded FIVE high target terrorists for the deserter. Never mind how many soldiers died trying to find the deserter. That is not even relevant in your limited American hating mind.

Just pathetic. All of you.

Maybe Obama was just following the Israeli model (by a fraction)

The Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange

(
Hebrew: עסקת שליט‎; Arabic: صفقة شاليط‎) followed an agreement between Israel and Hamas to release Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in exchange for 1,027 prisoners – mainly Palestinians and Arab-Israelis,

though among the prisoners released there was also a Ukrainian[1] prisoner, a Jordanian[2] prisoner, and a Syrian prisoner.[3]

Two hundred and eighty of these were sentenced to life in prison for planning and perpetrating various terror attacks against Israeli targets.[4][5]

lol, our strongest ally...

I just wanted to thank you for claiming that I lied in saying that searching for Bergdahl resulted in the deaths of at least six patriotic American warriors.....

I appreciate how easy you made it to prove, once again, that I never lie.
'

Since it's proven that story isn't true, you're the liar. Don't ever claim again you never lie because I'm going to stuff this lie right into your cake hole every time you do.

The sad truth is that people DO get left behind sometimes.

Sometimes we just can't help it.

Someone who deserted has stepped beyond The Pale and chosen to forego such protections and the reciprocal loyalty of his countrymen.

And, a deserter is a weak bargaining chip, and not worth much, in blood or treasure.

Certainly not worth five (5) middle-to-higher-end Taliban operatives.

One of our colleagues (above) was right in one sense - Obumble is not to be trusted with foreign affairs, unsupervised, anyway.

Best for Congress to keep him on a short leash until January 20, 2017.

This is just another poster-boy -caliber example in favor of such supervision.

Oh, I will take that as a compliment coming from any left winger, especially you.

If they had evidence he had deserted at the time, why didn't they list him as a deserter? Why did they list him as a POW and promote him two more grades while in captivity.

How much was the use of go/no go pills a factor in his unit and for him particularly? Did that impair his judgement?
He is going to be stripped of rank and denied pay.

And you will continue to whine.

Ok...so he WAS considered a POW then.

Whatever he was or is - he'll get sorted out under our justice system.

Wrong, yet again.

In the meantime, we let 5 high priced terrorists back into the fray. You know how many soldiers died getting them. Now, as it turns out, those efforts and blood lost was all in vain.

Not that you care. Cause you don't. Hell, you still cry and wish saddam was still torturing and murdering his people while you and people like you feign outrage over the 5 terrorists who planned 911 were made uncomfortable.

Sigh......

Liberals are so pathetic.
