it is neither realistic nor desirerable for EVERYONE to go to college.

the REASON college is a good thing is that it sets you apart, and ABOVE, if everyone has a degree, the degree means nothing.

But...that's not what the strategy says.

I read that as saying that he wants to make college more accessible, and then reducing the dropout rate...nothing about making college compulsory.
You might have a different interpretation though.

I completely agree with Santorum. College isnt' for everyone. The idea that "everyone" should go to college is just more Obama Idiocy.

Whether or not they go on to further education, a strong basic education can only improve the person, the democracy and the economy.

Wrong, as usual. Most legal immigrants come here on work visas. They already have an education. I know because I've worked with hundreds of them from India. They are taking over my profession. I've sat in rooms with dozens of people where I'm the only white guy.
