Saturday is a day I’ve waited over 50 years for.

I feel you Hoss! We hit 111 a couple days ago. :FIREdevil:
I don't think it's ever gotten that hot here.

108 max, with some 104-105s n stuff.

Some moron was disputing that the other day because...internet.

Yeah, I remember that day and what the thermometer said.

115 in the dry west is about like 84 here.

That's pleasantly warm, even though it will eventually cook an egg on the sidewalk. (had to try that)

When it gets up to over body temp in FL, that's when it's bad. You feel like you're under 100 feet of hot water,

and in a way, you are. 99 with 86% humidity is not fun.

You start sweating within 30 seconds of stepping outside, fact.

It will probably feel cooler here with all the Canadian wildfire smoke blocking out the sun

Oh, Canada.

Do they have any intention on fighting the fires?

Couldn't some snow come along and put them out? :D

It's over 100 here for a few days, next week it's supposed to be back to the 90s. But we don't get the humidity out west, so the heat's not too bad. Plus it's beautiful blue clear skies.

Too bad we can’t attach wind-powered electric motors to all those wind turbines and point all of them toward Canada and blow the smoke back up there. 😉

Huh? I think it was 94 today.

Depends on where you live. North Carolina had a relatively cool Spring and beginning of Summer. We are expecting our first day in the 90s either Saturday or Sunday in South of Wilson.
It's now 68 degrees

Did they ever catch any of the climate change radicals who allegedly started those fires?

Pretty much the same here in the Shenandoah Valley. That Hoser smoke has fucked-up what would have been some really great weather for going on four days now.

TODAY:
UNHEALTHY

Children, older adults, and those with respiratory issues should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
AQI:
163

DOMINANT POLLUTANT:
PM2.5
Tiny particles called PM2.5 irritate the eyes, nose, and respiratory system. Long-term exposure aggravates heart and lung disease.

Mother nature is gonna have to at this point if it gets done. There are too many scattered over every single province for them to make much progress getting under control. We have crews helping them but they are just overwhelmed. They should have raked their forests while they had the chance, but you know socialists--nobody is ever going to do the work as long as the government is giving them everything for free :stir:

One can either do controlled burns and make firecuts, or leave all that dead stuff there and when it goes, it will all go.
