Sequestration: Blame goes to GOP

More unsubstantiated BS from the master of BS.

usgs_line.php

Look from 2009 to 2012 Obama increases by half the debt the amount of all his predecessors. That with democrats as the majority party bragging about winning elections. Sad really sad the liberal left wing denial.

It's not "BS".

What you folks like to do is jigger numbers around until they fit your agenda.

Like aggregating spending without indicating what initiated the expense.

For example, Afghanistan.

It wasn't Obama that started the war..but he was left with a mess to clean up.

Putting that in his "expense" column is ridiculous.

obama got his tax increase now he doesn't want his idea of sequester to take place. So what does he do, blame it on the bad meanies Republicans.:eusa_whistle:

Sorry Dude but Obama Owns Afghanistan

Sequester was pushed through R House by Boehner, Ryan, McCain. Boehner said he got 98% of what he wanted and Ryan crowed about his "win".

OTOH, Ds did vote for it rather than suffer another credit downgrade.

Its a mess and the real point now is that the damn Rs are still refusing to cut short their vacation and come back to work.

American people are not so dumb that they don't see right through the Rs shenanigans.

Correct. They know it's Obama's sequester. He thought he was being cute when he suggested it and signed it into law. Now it's biting him on the ass. So much for the smartest president evah.

The polls don't agree with you.

Neither did the voters.

But hey, you go right ahead and believe whatever you need to believe.

Puddly, I don't give a shit about the sheeple's polls or votes. Documented proof has already been given that Carney said the sequester came from the whitehouse and Obama was going to hold Congress to the sequester. The fact that you can watch video of these statements and walk away blaming someone else shows just how delusional you are. Maybe we'll get lucky and Obama will tell you to jump off a bridge......because you'd do it.

The most protected and pampered class of American workers IS going to feel the pinch, that's for damned sure.

Who are those people?

Federal employees, EPECIALLY those civilians working for the military.

(This should be good!)

Sequestration: Blame goes to GOP

"Obama has said he wants Congress to end tax loopholes enjoyed mainly by the wealthy to buy lawmakers enough time to pass a budget but Republicans are insisting on deeper spending cuts to reduce the $16 trillion national debt."

What is wrong with closing loopholes for the wealthy? Fair or not, it only makes it look like (or for some people it validates the argument), the GOP is shilling for the wealthy elites.

If the GOP wants cuts to programs let them name the cuts? Obama wanted taxes raise and he named the taxes he wanted raised. Why won't the GOP just be honest and open with the American people, and name the cuts they would hold America hostage for?

The latest game makes it look like they really want to force sequestration, while denying it is what they want to do. This way they get cuts without naming which ones they wanted. They are hedging bets -- betting against the American people, and betting that both parties and the President will share blame with the GOP.

This isn't governing, it's electioneering.:eusa_hand:

Interesting that you say the repubs are the ones doing the electioneering, but not Obama and the democrats? There are many who say that it is Obama who is doing the electioneering, trying to divide and conquer the GOP and win back the House in 2014.

We can always reduce anything to politics, but it is the GOP Leadership and the Tea Party that have made denying Obama a plus at any cost, their main objective rather than governing. At some point the Congressional process has become broken. Since 2010/2011 it has been screwed. What brought about this change?

The daily Beast is your response to my post? LOL
I would take some amateurs blog site to that BS any day
It is obamas. Deal with it
Granted, you have got to blame someone.. Since you couldn't possibly blame Boooosh, blame the GOP, right? Right

So you do not have the facts to dispute what you are commenting on? Dispute one fact from the link... ... ...

Comrade isn't in my lexicon.

And if you were trying to say "Friend"..no..

I am not your friend.

Get it?

Now it is only the conservatives and the GOP saying sequestration will not be so bad a thing

Not true - I've been called liberal on these boards too often for me to count.
I'm ready to take the plunge.
I'm not saying it won't be difficult - it will.
But if you wanna have a dance, you gotta pay the band.
And we've been dancing without paying for way too long now.

Not all GOP and conservatives. All support for sequestration coming to fruition is from the conservatives and GOP

I say most all of the blame lies squarely at the feet of the GOP.

"Obama has said he wants Congress to end tax loopholes enjoyed mainly by the wealthy to buy lawmakers enough time to pass a budget but Republicans are insisting on deeper spending cuts to reduce the $16 trillion national debt."

The PowerPoint That Proves It’s Not Obama’s Sequester After All

Close the loopholes for the wealthy elite.

Tell the GOP to stop shilling for the wealthy elites.

Democrats want Congress to come back and stop ‘sequester’

Pentagon issues furlough notice as ‘sequester’ budget cuts loom[/QUOTE]

Demand the GOP name the cuts they are holding America hostage for.

Telling the GOP to stop shilling for the wealthy elites is like telling a crack addict to just say no.

And you don't think Obama and the Dems main objective since Nov 7th and continuing to the next midterm elections is to win back the House rather than governing? I didn't see much cooperation from Obama when the Fiscal Cliff deal was struck. He says he wants a balanced approach, well how much balance was there in that deal?

You talk about the Congressional process being broken, well what about the Senate? Who's been in control of that over the past 4 years, how come they haven't passed a budget in all that time or basically done jack squat? Other presidents have been able to work with the opposition, how come Obama hasn't even tried?

No I don't think the Democrats think and act like the GOP, because of the right wingers in the GOP. The left (Kucinich, OWS, Code Pink, and all the usual left wing suspects) has no real power in the Democratic party. The right has a very powerful presence in the GOP leadership, forget about only in the party.

People like me leave the DNC over progressives and their power grabs, but the power in the Dem Congress is not with the left.
