Or for that matter force D.C. residents into a state that is not their own. Simply put the citizens most impacted are least likely to be in favor of retrocession. Wyoming is a STATE and therefore entitled to senators.
DC is a DISTRICT, not state therefore not entitled to senators. If they want to be treated like a STATE instead of a DISTRICT---then they need to give up the benefits of being a district and rejoin their respective states.
