Hell most don't vote till they are well into their 20s anyway and even then it's only around 45%.

I bet it's much lower for the 18-21 age group.....Registered does not mean that they vote.
It depends on how much the dems pay them.

Obama extended the age, to which parents can keep their kids on their insurance, to 26. That therefore should be the age of majority then. Hell, they're living in your basement anyway.

If the government says you aren't old enough to buy tobacco, alcohol or guns...they are telling us people under 21 aren't mature enough to make good decisions...therefore...should we not also raise the voting age to 21?
If you aren't old enough to buy firearms or drink alcohol you aren't old enough to vote either.

Either you are an adult and capable of making adult decisions or you are not.

age limits with the government should be an across the board thing,, that would include driving and military service,,

imagine being forced to serve and not being allowed to vote???
Nobody has been drafted since 1972. Anyone with a Military or VA ID should enjoy full rights as an adult US citizen.

It can't be changed, without a Constitutional Amendment!!!

The 26th Amendment to the United States Constitution bars the federal government, as well as all state and local governments, from using age as a justification for denying the right to vote to any citizen of the United States who is at least 18 years of age. In addition, the Amendment grants Congress the power to “enforce” that prohibition through “appropriate legislation.”

The complete text of the 26th Amendment states:

Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.
Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

The 26th Amendment was incorporated into the Constitution just three months and eight days after Congress sent it to the states for ratification, thus making it the quickest amendment to be ratified.1 Today, it stands as one of several laws protecting the right to vote.

Men are supposed to register for the draft when they turn 18, but we don't draft people any more. Nowadays it's a total volunteer force.

I'll repeat: no one is forced to serve. It would take an act of Congress to reinstate the draft.
so congress can reinstate the draft,, that means a person can be forced to serve and why the registration is still happening,,

Congress the power to “enforce” that prohibition through “appropriate legislation.”
Congress can also choose not to enforce that prohibition in the same way that the federal government only attempts to enforce the supremacy clause when Missouri passes a law that state law enforcement will not cooperate with federal law enforcement when there is a possibility of 2nd Amendment infringement...but ignores other states laws that forbid cooperation with federal enforcement of immigration law.
