Single payer system within 7 years

The GOP acted like a bunch of Dims yesterday as they tweaked, not repealed, Obamacare. They were not even very sure what was in the bill, Nancy Pelosi style. They did not even wait for a CBO analysis of what exactly they were voting for. Then they all went to the White House to celebrate like a bunch of retards. Of course, the main objective in Washington is simply to "get things done" that work 100%, 100% of the time for 100% of the population. This is nothing short of a socialist mentality. And since socialism is nothing but a never ending quest for the unattainable, the drum beat will continue for a single payer system

Again, if you've ever had to argue with an insurance company to get treatment after they have your money, you would't say anything so retarded.

The reason why we will probably have single payer at some point is because the current system of corporate greed can't be maintained. Not with an aging population.
Again, if you've ever had to argue with an insurance company to get treatment after they have your money, you would't say anything so retarded.

LOOK, A NEWBIE! THEY ARE SO DISARMINGLY NAIVE.

Medicare is a single payer system,
Not really since Medicare Advantage (aka "Medigap") is covered by private insurance plans.

If it is good enough for people over 65, it should be good for all,
Sure why not, Medicare is only $27 TRILLION underwater in long term liabilities, might as well go ahead and make it $200 TRILLION, what the hell, the coming generations aren't going to be able to pay it anyways.

Pay more taxes and it is covered.
You first, I already pay way more taxes than I should and have absolutely no interest in participating in yet another government run health care scheme that accomplishes nothing more than to accelerate the deterioration of our already dire financial situation and adding to the degree of looting that the federal government is already perpetrating against me.

Stop believing that you will get instant and immediate attention and never have to wait for anything. In other words, get real. You have to pay for your health one way or another, by higher taxes or otherwise.
You're the one that is asking for "instant and immediate attention and never have to wait for anything" by advocating for government run single payer, it's the easy answer "let the government do it for me" , right?

I have no problem paying a private company for my health insurance, I just don't want to pay for everybody Else's too, capisce?
Do you understand the basic principle of a "Risk Pool"?

It would be a "resource allocation" rather than an "Executive Bennies" decision.

marginally more palatable....

If you think that you can buy a perfect world, you are welcome to your delusions.

You have to wait to get your burger at McDonald. You have to wait to get your licence at the DMV. You have to wait in line to get in to a movie or a concert. You have to wait at the grocery check out. You have to wait even at the emergency ward, due to that pesky idea of TRIAGE.

No amount of your own money gets you a pass there.

You forgot that mentioned that EVERYBODY pays more taxes. So, you would pay for nobody's health care, but your own.

And remember sometimes we don't get what we want.

Do you understand the basic principle of a "Risk Pool"?
Yeah do you? When gub'mint worshipers use the term it's simply used as a justification for "I want government to force you to subsidize my wants with open ended costs", where I come from pooling risk pursuant to reducing costs is done voluntarily with mutually binding terms and conditions up front.

I'm willing to cover my own risks and don't want anything to do with coercive government run con schemes masquerading as something for my own benefit , they've proven to be far too expensive in terms of both liberty and property but of course you're free to opt in if that's what you want and you're willing to foot the costs, just leave me and my wallet out of it, K?

You forgot that mentioned that EVERYBODY pays more taxes. So, you would pay for nobody's health care, but your own.
Uh-Huh, so what you're proposing is that I pay more in taxes than I do now to get what less than what I already have, just so I can participate in increasing the federal debt and lining the pockets and increasing the power of politicians and bureaucrats?

No thanks, I'd rather (somewhat) freely choose a private insurance company to give my money to, after all I trust them more than I do the government and I can always change providers, go co-op or self insure if the provider I have doesn't satisfy me.

You clearly don't....

But it did provide another opportunity for you to vent incoherently about the EEEBILS OF GUBMINT....

In ANY risk pool, you (and every other participant) DO in fact agree to cover the costs of everyone on the pool WITH ABSOLUTELY NO ASSURANCE THAT YOU WILL GET A DIME'S BENEFIT.

Your primitive gubmint phobia aside, I don't care WHO processes my paperwork - I don't believe it adds value to my dealings with my Doctor, and therefor should NOT be a "profit center"....

Are you under the impression that you are, by historical standards, suffering under high levels of Federal taxation?

Be honest....did you cast any votes for Scrub? If so, when you are done paying for the fiscal disaster you enabled, you feel free to come back and complain about your taxes.....'k? Cause no matter what you've been told to think, Medicare Part D and Iraqnam are NOT free.

On Fox News, Charles Krauthammer predicts America will have single-payer health care within 7 years

The recent passage of a tweak on Obamacare by the GOP is viewed with disdain by pretty much everyone, just like when the Dims passed Obamacare and were rounded up and thrown out of office.

According to some, however, this will only lead to a single payer in a very short time.

This is what the far left wanted all along, they knew Obamacare would fail.

"If it is good enough for people over 65, it should be good for all,"

By logical extension, if gassing all of the prisoners in Hitler's prison camps was good enough for them, then it should be good for all!

Or,

If bread and water is good enough for inmates on death row, then it is good enough for you.

Maybe FJO, Medicare /isn't/ good enough for people over 65, just that they get NO CHOICE.

Since health care has become an entitlement, we may as well suck it up and go single payer. If we are going to be socialist, lets be socialist.

IMHO Krauthammer is right, the GOP surrendered (a long time ago) on government controlled healthcare and it's only a matter of time before full blown single payer is a reality, this latest bullshit health care "reform" from the GOP controlled HoR would effectively only change things from Obamacare-D to Obamacare-R, the federal government assisted suicide mission for the dollar and the general economy continues with full support from both of the major political parties.

If there's ever a genuine second American Revolution it won't be between anyone and the snowflakes, it will be between Conservative, Libertarians and RINOs

Kraut is a hack.

The left will continue to say we need single-payer, which is just socialist medicine.

  1. This makes no sense because we are in too much debt to afford single-payer
  2. Bringing thousands of refugees here that will be first in line will make it even more unaffordable
  3. Too many baby-boomers will be entering retirement in the next 10 years to make it sustainable

Are you under the impression that you are, by historical standards, suffering under high levels of Federal taxation?
Ummm... "historical standards" are meaningless, I'm suffering under intolerable levels of federal taxation based on what I get for my fiat currency; you know, that old, antiquated concept of VALUE.

Be honest....did you cast any votes for Scrub?.
Nope, I don't vote for candidates from the two major crime families, ever, yet I'm still on the hook to pay for the federal financial imbroglio all the partisan, government worshiping douche bags created and as an added bonus my children and grandchildren get to pay even more for it.

The government turns down more people than private insurance.

So long as we have to beg to either insurance or the government there will be people being turned down in droves.

At the VA if veterans are too sick and expensive to treat they just put them on secret death lists.

Bet no one saw THAT coming, eh?

I've been asking many of your fellow primitives to recall the last time they read anything longer than 5 paragraphs....

Not one has been able to....

ALL the POTUS for whom I have voted bequeathed smaller deficits to their successors than those they inherited.....they also presided over LOWER annual growth rates of Federal spending than those for who I would NOT vote.

I call that being a discriminating buyer.

You be sure to tell your grandchildren how you stood idly by while Supply Side Hucksters pillaged the Treasury and borrowed against their futures..........to, among other things, impose a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO HEALTH CARE on the people of Iraqnam (who, to their credit, bravely resisted)
