Smell of a Rightwing Agenda: protesters lay barricades at WH and not.the Capitol step

And again....and again...Dante can't see past headline talking points.
The reason it would be laid at the White House is because when the last government shutdown occurred under Clinton - he kept the mall and other monuments in Washington opened.
He most certainly did not post officers at the entrance to prevent "lawbreakers" from going to the mall.

So we have yet another thread on how stupid WWII veterans are...

:cuckoo: .WWII veterans...by the thousands on the Mall? that would be miraculous if true

Redge Ranyard is featured in a powerful ad taking congressional Republicans to task for the shuttered government and its impact on veterans. The 90-year-old World War II Navy veteran was ticked off by a comment House Speaker John Boehner made nearly two weeks ago. According to the New York Times story that got Ranyard's blood boiling, Boehner told his raucous caucus mere days after the start of the shutdown, "We are locked in an epic battle." In his response on behalf of VoteVets.org, Ranyard doesn't mince words.

Who said there were thousands of veterans on the Mall?

I mean...besides you.

My point was we have yet another thread pointing out how stupid the veterans who participated are. Big dummies! They need people like YOU to tell them what to protest, and when to stay the fuck at home!

:lol::lol:

"Million Veteran March" "Thousands of vets protest on Mall" you need to get out more often

"Veterans stormed memorials yesterday with the help of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and former half-term governor, best-selling author and reality television star Sarah Palin..."

We have an obvious agenda facilitated and most likely organized by professional, conservative, rightwing Obama-haters.

Not all veterans are being manipulated this way.

An admittedly progressive site.... And one persons opinion...I'd give you mine but no one cares anyway...But I sure wished I'd have been there....

A real live WWII veteran is on a progressive site so you marginalize him?

Shame?

It's no different than Freedomworks. They are for Repubs.
The left marginalize them.
Especially when 2 married Seniors who went through WWII, spoke out against the New Health Care Law.
Vets Action Fund are for Dems.

Looks like the leftist fanatics still haven't gotten it through their heads. They managed to piss off the entire American populace with their closing down the WWII Vets Memorial, closing off parking areas along public roads so people couldn't see the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore etc.

They have been spending more money trying to kick Americans out of our own national attractions, than they would have spent by leaving them alone... in the name of "spending less due to the government shutdown", as though they expected Americans to believe that excuse for doing it.

Now when normal Americans protest and push back, the leftist fanatics immediately announce that their actions were "obviously organized by professionals", driven by "right-winger", and all the usual excuses they come up with when their agenda is rejected by the American people.

They've been listening to their own propaganda too long. It almost sounds like they believe their own lies.

FOX News fans and talk radio fed protesters do NOT represent America. :lmao:

While Republicans are struggling with their public image, President Obama is having success and from an unlikely source. A new Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll was released over the weekend and shows the president's approval on the rise. Rasmussen, a right-wing leaning poll, reports that President Obama's approval is now over the critical 50 percent threshold, sitting at 51 percent

----

You people are so used to being disingenuous and playing games you just dont get it yet. But you will eventually

So Rasmussen is right now that they're showing Barry doing better huh? :wink_2:

Jesus, and a real military hero and warrior mocked veteran protests on public land: Bonus protesters...mcarthur?

It's because Obama is in control of what gets shut down or not. NSA is still monitoring all phone calls in the US. Illegals were allowed to hold a rally in a park closed to everyone else. He was quite selective in what was closed, even if it meant spending more money to hire guards to keep people out. In other words, he expanded the reach of government during the shutdown, which only makes sense in liberal land. Obama is using the shutdown to try and get people angry at Republicans. It's not working.

The Dems could have avoided a shutdown by doing the right thing, namely delaying Obamacare for everyone, not just a select few wealthy companies. They exempted themselves and could care less how negatively it affects the little people. They wanted a shutdown and counted on media to assist them in their propaganda.

Obama made an impressive speech when he was senator regarding the debt ceiling. He thinks it's a sign of leadership failure and said that spending more would hurt the economy and everyone. He voted against it. Now he wants all his sheep to forget what he said then and wouldn't you know it, the sheep obeyed.

The Obamacare website is a mess. Few people are signing up. Even when implemented, it will be a disaster. Delaying it is the only reasonable solution at present time, so why don't the Dems give the little people a break for once?

38%?! Zowee! Back on Earth, the polling averages still have those who disapprove at an 11 point spread over those who approve. Why are Harry and Barry defying the American people and forcing this law/tax on them?

This shutdown isn't going to do either party much good.

The longer it goes on the more people will start blaming all of the Hill. That means both parties.

Or they would if they'd actually won more votes. But they didn't. House Republicans did the equivalent of winning the electoral college while losing the popular vote.

It can be a bit difficult to tally up the popular vote in House elections because you have to go ballot by ballot, and many incumbents run unopposed. But The Washington Post's Dan Keating did the work and found that Democrats got 54,301,095 votes while Republicans got 53,822,442. That's a close election -- 48.8%-48.5% --but it's still a popular vote win for the Democrats. Those precise numbers might change a bit as the count finalizes, but the tally isn't likely to flip.
- fyi: House Democrats got more votes than House Republicans. Yet Boehner says he’s got a mandate?

That's because the WH made the decision on what things to shut down to inflict the greatest pain on the American public. Obama's chickens are coming home to roost.

And you've divined this supposedly horrible motive on the part of the White House with what, a cable tv direct connection to FOX News?

:cuckoo:

Do you actually think that Jonathan Jarvis the Director of the National Parks did this on his own? If he did he needs to be fired.
The monuments belong to the people not the Government.
He got his orders from the White House.

You've been lied to and manipulated (If you really believe that).

It's not even a "talking point" because there is no truth to the statement whatsoever.

Congrats, you're now a willing pawn.
