So Flake wants a week long FBI investigation

Yale buddies dispute Kavanaugh's entire representation of himself.
I thought he tried to come off too fucking perfect, too.

Kavanaugh's Yale classmates take issue with his 'choir boy' self-presentation on Fox News

And he's got a gambling problem, too.

Does Brett Kavanaugh have a gambling problem? Sen. Sheldon Whitehou...

Kavanaugh's Washington Nationals tickets have attracted particular notice, since they amounted to between $60,000 and $200,000 of his credit card and personal debts in 2016,........ no senators had asked Kavanaugh about that particular eyebrow-raising aspect of his financial background because there wasn't enough time."""

I guess since the sexual assault did not stick, now you will paint him with a gambling problem.

What's next after that fails?

Sorry you posted a lie about what she could remember about the attack and got called out on it.
Facts must be a challenge for you.
.
.
I didn't accuse him of gambling. Whitehouse did.
I report. You make shit up.
.
.
.

I did not post a lie, I was unaware that she found that bit of her memory.

Who's your coach? Kellyanne Conway? Rudy Giuliani?

.
.
.

I hope for this:

I hope there's a woman, just like in the Cosby case, that has material evidence of a sexual assault by Kavanaughty that is within the statute of limitations, and she's sitting on it, waiting for him to be confirmed.
Then she goes public and hires an attorney.
That would be sweet, seeing this alcoholic liar getting impeached.
.
.
.

Of course you wish for that. He has different political views than you so you want his life ruined and his family destroyed.

you are steamy pile of shit masquerading as a human being and not doing a very good job of that.

Four times, Kavanaugh claimed that “Dr. Ford’s longtime friend,” Leland Keyser, had affirmed that the gathering never occurred.

That’s a lie. Keyser has stated that she doesn’t recall the gathering—she was never told about the attack, and she was supposedly downstairs while it allegedly occurred upstairs—but that she believes Ford’s story. That isn’t corroboration, but it isn’t refutation or denial, either. During the hearing, Sen. Cory Booker pointed this out to Kavanaugh, reminding him that in an interview with the Washington Post, Keyser “said she believes Dr. Ford.” Kavanaugh ignored Booker’s correction.

Ninety seconds later, the nominee defiantly repeated: “The witnesses who were there say it didn’t happen.”

Kavanaugh Lied to the Judiciary Committee—Repeatedly

Flake said it isn't so much to get more info as to extinguish the complaints from the Democrats that an investigation wasn't done.

Why does that even matter? They have all said before the allegations they would not vote for him, so who gives a fuck if they have some complaints?
You would have to ask Senator Flake why he cares about half of the country's voters. Something to do with divisiveness, he says...
And after this there will be zero devisivness.
Actually, I think what Care4All said is more likely--Flake spent a lot of time "consulting" with other Repubs behind closed doors and it is most likely that they ALL wanted an investigation. Not that they think it will amount to much (and it probably won't) but they may be thinking of the history books, too. Shutting down an investigation into a Supreme Court nominee under any circumstances, let alone circumstances like this, looks REALLY bad. Really bad.

So, all that has to happen in the future is to have a series of people ready to come forward with allegations. Once the first one is investigated ,then the second one suddenly appears and they start all over again.

Congrats, we have just become a banana republic.
Actually, pseudocons are posting accusations about Hillary to this day. Every day.

We became a banana republic the day Trump said he would lock Hillary up if he won.

That's exactly what Third World shithole politicians do.

What is more divisive than unprovable allegations that were held on to for more than a month and then trotted out at just the right time to delay things till the new year?
Why do you keep asking ME?
As for the delay, it didn't bother you to delay filling Scalia's seat for a year. So what's the big rush?

Actually I was against that move by the Repubs, I felt they were not doing their duty.

That is the difference between you and I, I do not view the whole world through the partisan sheep brain that you use.
You and I agree on that about the Garland appointment. I'm not a partisan. I'm sorry I assumed you were.

No investigation was shut down. The FBI closed theirs months ago.

When the letter was sent to them, they said the investigation was
over and forwarded it to the WH to be put in Kavanaugh's file.

The way this new deal sounds is an investigation of the matters at hand.

The FBI, will just question those already on record as for background info.
Those on record have sworn statements under the penalty of perjury, so they
ain't gonna be changing their story.

We'll see what Mitch comes up with. I think they just move the floor vote
to Friday instead of Tuesday.

Some people believe we've never been to the moon and the earth is flat. You have nothing.

Pray for your Constitution guys, it's in the crosshairs.

I know I will be praying from afar. There is more at stake right now in the hands of a VERY small number than even I could have appreciated just a few months ago. There is a heavy push from the global socialists to ruin America, how else can you see so many people worth tens of millions of dollars as career politicians?

The socialists don't have to lift a finger.
Trump is doing a fine job of fucking things up all by himself.

The hypocristy of the Democrats hollering about an investigation is stunning since they SAT on it for several weeks, then they demanded the FBI investigate it after they REFUSED the standard way of dealing with it as shown in USA Today (September 17,2018) article.

Bolding below are mine

"4:25 p.m.

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer says Republicans on the Judiciary Committee can't be trusted to conduct an impartial review of the allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Schumer says voting on Kavanaugh scheduled for this week must be delayed so these "serious and credible" allegations can be investigated by the FBI.

He said from the Senate floor, "This has to be done by an independent outside body."

The New York Democrat says he believes Christine Blasey Ford, the college professor accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault while the two were at a party in high school. Kavanaugh denies the allegation.

The Republican chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, wants the panel's top staff to interview Ford and Kavanaugh. Democrats reject that and want a full investigation."

See that? Schumer TURNED down interviews for both parties by staff from Democrats and Republicans top staffers.

Then it goes on with more leftist bullcrap,

"4:35 p.m.

The Senate Judiciary Committee's top Democrat says her party's aides won't participate in a phone call the staff of majority Republicans have planned with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The private interview via phone follows accusations made by Christine Blasey Ford that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her decades ago.

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein says Republicans gave Democrats just a few hours notice. She says a staff-only call is unacceptable because of the allegations' "enormity and seriousness," and violates how the panel has worked in the past.

Feinstein said the FBI should conduct the interview and let the Judiciary panel decide whether to seek additional information.

Feinstein's statement came as Republicans deflected offers by Kavanaugh and Ford to testify before the committee. Republicans have planned for a committee confirmation vote Thursday, with a full Senate vote later this month."

Again these Democrats turned down another attempt to discuss the allegations, whining they only had a FEW HOURS NOTICE! Gee what are they there for then? Play computer games between politicking?

"5:25 p.m.

A person familiar with the Senate's effort to confirm Brett Kavanaugh says Republican aides on a Senate panel were planning to talk to the Supreme Court nominee Monday to discuss the allegation that he sexually assaulted a woman when both were in high school in the 1980s.

The source says GOP aides on the Senate Judiciary Committee were hoping to arrange a similar phone call on Tuesday with his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford.

Democrats say they won't participate in the call because the accusations merit more attention. They want Republicans to delay Thursday's planned Senate Judiciary Committee vote on Kavanaugh's nomination so the FBI can investigate the charge...…."

See how Democrats keeps STOPPING attempts for the Senate Subcommittee to do start investigating Dr. Fords allegations.

Meanwhile Republicans are planning a PUBLIC session, while the Democrats go silent from their repeated drive to prevent simple interview from happening.

"6:10 p.m.

The White House says Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is ready to testify in the Senate as soon as Tuesday so "he can clear his name of this false allegation" about a sexual assault while in high school.

Republicans say plans are in the works for a public session for both Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, the college professor who is accusing him of sexual assault when they were high-school age. Kavanaugh has denied the allegation...…………"

Then the FBI made clear they don't consider this their area of importance, but the democrats keeps chanting FBI! FBI! FBI! to this day ELEVEN DAYS later.....

"8:15 p.m.

The Justice Department says the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh "does not involve any potential federal crime" for the FBI to investigate.

The department said in a statement Monday night that the FBI's role during background investigations is to evaluate whether the nominee could pose a national security risk and then provide that information "for the use of the decision makers."

The department says it's not the job of the FBI to judge the significance or the credibility of an accusation.

In the case of Kavanaugh, the FBI received a letter Sept. 12 with allegations of misconduct in the 1980s, when both Kavanaugh and his accuser were teenagers.

The Justice Department says the FBI forwarded the letter to the White House counsel's office."

Snicker...

Meanwhile the FBI was involved in the 1991 mess when the Bush Administration ordered them to investigate Anita Hill's accusation, which they duly stated three days later to be UNFOUNDED, thereby the Chairman Biden trashes the FBI report as being IRRELEVANT:

D’oh – Democrat Joe Biden Explains Irrelevance of FBI Investigations Within SCOTUS Nomination Process….

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!

I have been one of the most vocal anti-Trump folks on this board, anyone that has been on the board for very long knows that.

But this whole thing just stinks of dirty politics. First Ford and then the even more unbelievable story from the second lady.

No Investigation should be granted. No one will come forward and vouche for Loon Tard Social Justice Warrior Ford. Everyone watching could tell she was lying.

But if The GOP does give in to this, all that is required is a one day Investigation to ask Ford's 3 named witnesses again if they deny again ever being at such a party.
Then vote Kavenaugh in on Sunday.

Republicans surely know the out come if the FBI is allowed to investigate. All that is going to happen is after a week whatever comes out Flake will be pressured once again by the democrats to say something along the lines of with this new information I think we need to postpone the vote for more time, or with this new information I can't vote for Kavanaugh. It's nothing but further stalling and going in circles accomplishing nothing.
Flake said it isn't so much to get more info as to extinguish the complaints from the Democrats that an investigation wasn't done.
The ABA, whose endorsement Kavanaugh flaunted, has renounced their endorsement and demanded an investigation into the multiple accusations which have arisen since their endorsement.
Yes, but Grassley said that outside organizations do not influence the Judiciary Committee. Maybe Republicans will, though. I suppose Mitch McConnell can still refuse to delay the vote. Then someone with the authority has to get the FBI to reopen their background check. I have heard so many different versions of who can and cannot do it---I suppose someone down there must know how to do it.

Sooo, all the other investigations that were done on Kavanaugh didn't count? Is this like a do-over?

Which of the previous investigations included accusations of sexual assault?

He said week max. Maybe less. They interview Judge, who'll say he cannot recall such an incident. They have no one else to speak to. They'll say they cannot corroborate and it will be back to he said she said.

All the ones for which there was credible evidence such a thing took place. Since there is still no credible evidence, there is no need for another one
