So hours after the Amtrak crash, republicans cut the budget for it

Less money for Amtrack, but GOP and Dems find 98 billion dollars to distort the free market through corporate welfare, so typical politics as usual.

Get rid of corporate welfare and you balance the budget overnight, as well as commit the great heresy of establishing a truer free market.

Then they shouldn't be in business.

Great idea. You feel the same way about all the money we throw at oil companies?
Government shouldn't be throwing money at any business.

So you think the best place to start cutting is on infrastructure that effects the safety of thousands every day. You might want to think that through a little more.
That's not what I said and you know it. Can't you debate honestly or do you have to rely on misrepresenting your opponent's position? Never mind, I already know the answer.

That's exactly what you said, even if you wish you hadn't.
There you go again, insisting I said something I didn't. Your proved me right, you have no argument so you have to put up a straw man to knock down. You are a loser.

Obama got $800,000,000,000 for infrastructure.. unfortunately, most of it went to payola for Democrat supporters.

funny post Billy , accident was caused by excesive speed , news been on the telly the last few hours !!

Ya...and what caused the higher speed? Could have been a mechanical problem..AKA maintenance. We don't know ... and probably won't for several months ...maybe years but the transportation folks are pretty good reverse engineers and will eventually figure it out.

It's unlikely the engineer didn't know the risks of approaching the curve at 56 MPH over the legal limit. Unless he was suicidal there was probably nothing he could do to slow the train down to a safer speed.
What caused the higher speed? Well, derp derp DE derp derpidity derp.

Have you ever been in a locomotive? You must think driving a train is like the car race game at the video arcade. Derp!

So... what caused the train to go more than twice the safe speed?

And, indeed, last night on MSNBC Goood old "Rev Al" announced that the train was going "100 miles an hour in a 50 mile an hour zone - THREE times the speed limit".....

Jesus Christ you lefties - get someone, as your spokesman, who can do simple math, will you?

Obviously the GOP leadership MUST convene white paper investigations on how this train crash IS BEING REPORTED!!!

Ah, republicans. You can always rely on their revenue gouging policies for aiding the rich, but what really makes them scumbags is that they refuse to do anything about our failing infrastructure system.

LOL, but you're not a Democrat.

That doesn't even make sense, why would a train crash mean we want to spend more on train service?

And how does this help the rich?

The engineer doesn't remember, odd huh?

Maybe the guy got his foot stuck on the accelerator pedal? Maybe not. Trains don't drive like cars. Since you seem to be the self designated expert perhaps you could tell everyone how it is not possible for that machinery to break so the accelerator mechanism can't be controlled.

You know that how exactly? His lawyer is speaking for him. His lawyer said that?

You realize you're on the internet with a browser, no?

Trains don't use foot pedals you dumbass. And to think earlier you questioned me about train knowledge. Good grief

The train was going twice the speed limit.

Democrats had complete control for 6 years. They have had plenty of time money and power to correct things they felt were wrong.

Typically, Amtrak derailments are the result of disrepair of the privately owned (scantly regulated) tracks that they rely on.
No track could keep a train on that is going twice the speed limit. Get a clue.

I was explaining to the OP that these crashes are not typically Amtrak budget related.
