So now St. Patrick's Day has to be about the Gay

No, it is not making everything about Gays.

It is about not excluding an entire group simply because they are gay.

Exactly. Those excluding them have already made it about gays...you'd think there were no gay Irish or gay Irish-Americans.

No, its about equality in the United States of America.

Guinness has joined the protest.

If Guinness is pulling out then thats game, set, match.

The haterz will have to cave now.

Nope. Its a symbolic only move, as they still sponsor every Irish bar in the area doing a party. its just the parade, and they already paid for this year.

The Hibernians will find other sources of revenue.

But this does go to show that the whole concept of only wanting equality is bullshit. What is wanted is acceptance.

Are the Irish pubs turning gay patrons away? Not here they're not. :D

and the parade is not turning away gay marchers, it is just saying they cannot march under a banner of a gay rights organization.

They can march, they just cannot march under the umbrella of a gay rights organization.

The parade is run by a private group, and as a private group has the right of expression.

Would you like to be forced to have "ex-gay" people march in in your pride parades under the group's banner?

Sure...let them. Bunches of non-gay groups march in gay pride parades...including churches like the Catholic Church and the Mormon Church.

They can march, they just can't march about their orientation. I always though the debate was about equality, this is about forcing acceptance.

Always has been.

And it's likely too late to reverse the tide.

Because too many people stood by and let it fucking happen.

:)

peace...

I laughed when I saw the report. How gullible can people possibly be? Corporations care about MONEY and nothing else. The beer makers loose absolutely nothing by not paying for sponsorship, they'll loose no customers. And they'll likely pick up sales from the pro-gay crowd. A win win. Smart move. Dumb pawns.
