I think most professors are too smart to be conservative right now. The conservatives are really confused. Remember when leading by executive order was bad? When they wanted a balanced budget? When they believe in free trade? I don't think professors can flop around in the wind like that.

There ain't no civil discourse out there right now. The election season is just getting started. Both sides will be shouting down, and there will be violence, probably from both sides. I don't go to rallies. I'm just going to sit out by the pool and watch it on TV this summer, hoping neither side holds a rally in my town.

You keep pointing to countries, whose entire economy is built on the foundation of profit-driven free-market compeition, and claiming they are socialist.

Then you point to countries whose economy is built by cooperation, social control, and equality..... and claim those places are not socialist, or "not the socialism you want".

But those places are the socialism that you want. They are. The policies that Bernie Sanders socialists promote here in the US, are nothing like the Nordic countries you point to, and are entirely like the socialist hell holes of Venezuela, Cuba, and so on.

Green energy you left-wing socialists keep pointing to. Venezuela had green energy as a national policy, and has had nation wide black outs for YEARS now. They implemented the policies you claim you want here in the US. They are reaping the results of those policies.

You want free health care here in the US. Venezuela had that as their national policy, and the result was all the doctors packed up and left. In fact, they even imported doctors from Cuba.... who also packed up and fled the country.

You want free education here in the US. Venezuela has free education, and the students and teachers both, packed up and left.

You want free housing, and Venezuela has public house.... and the result has been that even the population of the entire country has fallen in absolute numbers, there is still a national housing crisis.

Everything.... EVERYTHING.... that you people on the left have promoted here in the US, has been done in other countries, and failed.

Greece. Same thing. In fact, many of those policies have failed inside the US already. House shortages in California, even while having invested millions, if not billions, into housing. Green energy, resulting in rolling black outs. Rent controls, and on and on.

And by the way, you talk about the Nordic countries and yet oppose policies that would make us more like the Nordic countries.

Did you know that most of the nordic countries have no welfare whatsoever? There is no welfare check. Ever. There is unemployment compensation. And you only qualify if you have worked 12 full months of consistent steady employment.

And when you are unemployed, you only get it if you are laid off. You can't quit, and get unemployment.

And you only get 60% of your average income from the past 5 years. IF you made only $30K, you are getting $18K.

And you only get that for 12 months, whether you find a job or not. What happens if you don't have a job, and your unemployment comp runs out? Then you get a job, or move in with someone, or you better enjoy rotten food from a garbage can.

Why were you people complaining about cutting the Corporate tax rate then? Sweden's corporate tax rate has been 22% for years. Denmarks rate was 24%. Yet, when Trump cut the corporate tax rate that was 39%, the Bernie Sanders people had a hissy fit.

Why is it that when we propose policies that make us more like the Nordic countries, you freak out about it, while saying we need to be more like the Nordic countries?

Education.. you know that in nearly all those countries, if you don't pass the entrance exam for high school, then you don't go to high school? If you perform badly on tests, you will be put on a probation, and then removed from the school. If you are disruptive, you are expelled.

Did you know that public school teachers are paid less money than in the US to start with? Only good teachers, are paid more.

Religion, did you know that many of the Nordic countries still have state sponsored Christian churches? Denmark specifically has a 'church tax', and you have to pay it.

Would you support a Church tax, to promote Christian values in the US? You want to be more like the "social democracies" of the Nordic countries right?

How about multiculturalism? Did you know that Nordic countries have some of the most homogeneous cultures in the world? There was a story just a few years ago, about a woman who went to Denmark from a middle east country. A requirement is that all people must know how to swim, because there are rivers and dams all over Denmark. She refused to learn how to swim because it was a mixed gender class. Boys and girls, learn to swim together, because you have no idea when you'll need to help someone else, regardless of their gender.

She refused. They put her right back on a plane, and sent her back to where she came from.

You ready to eliminate that multicultural nonsense?
