States with highest rates of pre-existing conditions

The big Trump"care" compromise between GOP moderates and the alt-right monsters was that the monsters would agree to give Trump a rushed, barely thought out victory in exchange for pushing the elderly off a cliff and screwing people with pre-existing conditions. The rest of the caucus was, of course, already on board anyways since millions would be losing their healthcare so the wealthy could get a tax cut.

OMG how funny. This new health care bill also takes direct aim at people from 50 to 64 years old. Tonight on ABC they stated that a 64 year old could expect their premiums to go up by $13,000 a year. I believe this age group also overwhelming voted for Trump.

The legislation would also allow insurers to charge higher premiums to those in their 50s and early 60s, compared to younger consumers.

You've got people with pre-existing conditions--(they're screwed)--people that are between 50 and 64 years old will have to eat dog food to afford their premiums. If they're getting coverage through their jobs, their employers will figure out a way to lay them off, because they won't be able to afford to cover them. They'll get rid of the older and bring in the younger.

Just curious--how old are you? Hopefully you're not 50 and older. Hopefully you don't have any pre-existing conditions. And hopefully you do have medical insurance now, because if you don't, insurers will be able to charge you a 30% higher premium if your insurance lapsed or you opted out of ever getting insurance.

I would say that's a win win-wonderful--wonderfull bill all around for you Trumpsters.

Especially now that we know that the states with the highest incident of pre existing medical conditions are states that overwhelmingly supported Trump--and know for a fact that the 50 and older age group was totally in the can for Trump.

You voted for it--You got it!

A lot of seniors that age don't carry health insurance. The obamacare plan has extremely high co pays and coverage at lower cost plans is a joke. My ex just pays the fine that that weasel obama stuck on people that won't give their business to the health insurance companies. I sure don't expect republicans to come up with anything that will help people that aren't wealthy, it's not what they do. But obama and his plan is no better, either.

Read it & weap. While yes premiums were too dam high on 50 to 60 age groups, it's going much higher with Trump care. Under Obamacare, your age was not considered as high as risk, and the elderly could use their lower incomes to subsidize the cost of the premiums, if they needed too. That's gone with this bill.

I am 64 and my current premium is $764.00 per month. It's a decent policy--my deductible is lower and it covers about everything. Tonight they're talking about my age group 64 going up an additional $13,000 per year under Trump care.

They still haven't addressed the real issue: Health care costs: Why is it that Americans are paying double for prescription drugs than Canada--when we're producing those medicines here in the states? There's lots of things they could do to lower health care costs--and no one even brings it up. Hillary Clinton continually brought it up, but you all ignored her.

This bill does not to address any of this.
It is directly targeted toward people with pre existing conditions--that many middle age to older people have, and those that are over 50. They consider us (50 & over) to be the highest risk in this bill, and we're not going to get those breaks that we got from Obamacare.

IOW--Under Obamacare--at 64 I was paying about $100.00 per month more than my 40 year old neighbor, and that was full price. Neither one of us had taxpayer subsidies.

Some 20 million more Americans have insurance now than before "Obamacare"- and that includes people who couldn't get insurance because of their pre-existing conditions.

Is the GOP plan better? Hell they don't even know- since they rushed this through before the Congressional Budget Office even calculated the costs.

Will millions lose their heallth insurance? No one knows.

Will millionaires save lots of money in taxes?

Absolutely.
