The IRS Obama's allies help swing the election

A new study by the American Enterprise Institute -- "Do Political Protests Matter? Evidence From The Tea Party Movement" -- finds that the movement boosted Republican turnout by three to six million votes in the 2010 election. This effect was blunted in the 2012 election, though, because growth in the movement stalled.

That slowdown happened, co-author and AEI economist Stan Veuger notes, at the same time that the IRS began coming down hard on these groups. He argues in a RealClearMarkets.com article that this most likely had a major impact in the 2012 election.

"The founders, members, and donors of new Tea Party groups found themselves incapable of exercising their constitutional rights, and the Tea Party's impact was muted in the 2012 election cycle," Veuger said.

he added: "The data show that, had the Tea Party groups continued to grow at the pace seen in 2009 and 2010, and had their effect on the 2012 vote been similar to that seen in 2010, they would have brought the Republican Party as many as 5 to 8.5 million votes compared to Obama's victory margin of 5 million."

The IRS was a wing of the Obama administration and we have thousands more of his stormtroopers coming with Obamacare:mad:

The Tea Party's political activities were hindered because the IRS was too heavily scrutinizing their tax exemption applications,

exemptions that hinged on the Tea Party groups not being political??

LOL, good one.

I think some people have forgotten that six Tea Party Senate candidates in 2010 LOST.

Obama’s fingerprints all over IRS Tea Party scandal

It’s past time for the media to begin asking President Obama tough questions about the IRS conservative targeting scandal. After all he was involved, publicly, from the beginning.

Last Friday, the American Center for Law and Justice (where I serve as Chief Counsel) filed its Second Amended Complaint against the United States, the IRS, and a legion of IRS officials. This Complaint, in which we represent 41 organizations in 22 states, presents perhaps the most complete story yet of the IRS conservative targeting scandal.

And it is an ugly story indeed.

What was sold to the American public as a low-level scandal perpetrated by a few rogue employees – a scandal stopped after senior officials became aware and asserted control – is now (to borrow a Watergate phrase) “no longer operative.”

Labor unions get out the vote for the Dems...They are tax except for the most part

Stan Veuger?

The TPM was losing traction by early fall of 2012 and then its now stellar performance by a couple of TPM senatorial wacks allowed the Senate to stay Dem.

The final battle of import was the TPM failure when it shut down the government and could not defeat the debt ceiling bill.

All that is left is the whimpering and whining into the inevitable disaster for the TPM in the primaries and general elections.

ps: if those assholes had concentrated on the infrastructure and roll out, they may have had a chance.

None, now.

American Enterprise Institute, Dick Cheney used to their podium often as AEI is a right leaning think tank that help shape George W Bush's public policies.
No conflict of interests there!
