The pandemic was certainly real but was highly exaggerated and the fear they stoked made so much "Covid Money" available it led to immeasurable fraud in reporting.

What got me from the start was we did just about everything opposite of what you are taught in intro to epidemiology to fight it.

We'd have been far better off quarantining the elderly and those at highest risk due to compromised immune systems and letting everyone else go about their lives without interruption.

The immunity healthy people attain through exposure is far stronger and longer lasting than that gained by any of the vaccines.

What does that tell you?

Close to it, the total case mortality rate 1:83 or 1.22%.

Nearly all of those deaths are in people over 55 with multiple comorbidities and highest among those over 70 with compromised immune systems and four or more comorbid conditions. "Comorbid" means other conditions that are already slowly killing us.

We already knew who those people were and that they were most vulnerable to serious disease and death and they are a relatively small percentage of the population so isolating and protecting them would have been pretty simple.

If you die of influenza......then it ain't a Covid death.
It is reminiscent of the discussions years ago over AIDS.
Meaning, very very few gay men.....or anybody else for that matter......died of AIDS.
Rather the weakening created by the debilitating effect of the AIDS infection created the opportunity for influenza, pneumonia, heart......to kill 'em first.

But make no mistake...AIDS, or Covid.......led to those respiratory failures, or affiliated causes of death.

Indeed, the poster Faun rightly points out the issue of 'excess' deaths.
America has a fairly good methodology for tracking or enumerating the deaths occurring within its population from year to year.
Which allows for somewhat of a 'baseline' that can be used predict future mortality across its 330 million people.
This stuff ain't rocket science. After all, insurance company actuaries do this stuff everyday, and have for generations.

So, in America's case, or for that matter, the world's case........it is not a difficult task to note that MORE deaths occurred during a given time than what actuarial statistics would inform us SHOULD have occurred.
