Ted Cruz Hits A Nerve

The new mayor seems no more interested in improving matters than did Emmanuel.

Chicago Mayor Tells Ted Cruz To 'Keep Our Name Out Of Your Mouth' About Gun Control | HuffPost

I see where you corrected finny but not peole. Oh, the density.

I see that moron Alyssa Milano challenged Cruz to a gun debate and he's accepted and two things.. her ass puckered and he will annihilate the dumbed down tool

She offered to debate him? A seasoned lawyer and Constitutionalist.

Oh my...

And a much acclaimed debater during his college years.

.

It shows too. Funny how one can differentiate between "average" politicians and their arguments, and someone like Cruz who, in my eyes at least, was head and shoulders above others in the Primaries for his ability to coordinate information and deliver it with effectiveness.

Even Trump, who isn't so much a debater but someone who is good at selling his points; acknowledged that Cruz was tough. It's MUCH easier to debate someone after time in office, especially as president for a few years, as you know how the system works internally and can refer to your political successes. When Trump was "just a businessman", he relied on common sense and connecting with Americans. That is more valuable than just being a strong debater, but certainly the latter doesn't hurt.

It is sort of funny. I mean imagine Chicago is AR-15s were the weapons of cholce. On the other hand, imagine what would happen to any pol who suggested that honest working people in Southy couldn't have easy access to their handguns. It cuts both was for Creepy Ted AND the dems

Yeah... word on the street is that he was a masterdebater in college and still is today.

Anyone going against him had best be prepared, he will.

She is right. Chicago guns come from out of
State. Meanwhile TX owns 4 of our 10 worst mass shootings.

The guns in Texas must be from the guns Obama and Holder bought using US tax payer money and giving them to drug lords in Mexico.

That hardly explains why Chicago's homicide rate is so much higher per capita than other cities. Obviously, there are factors other than the availability of guns that makes some cities so much more violent than others. Mass shootings in the US constitute only a tiny fraction of the total number of shootings, but Democrats try to make gun control about them because it saves them from having to deal with the fact that it is poor people and people of color who commit the vast majority of shootings and constitute the vast majority of the victims.

Mass shootings are terrible but they are nothing compared to the everyday dangers poor people and people of color face in cities like Chicago and Baltimore where Democrats ignore the issue for fear of offending poor voters or voters of color. Identity politics is the total substance of the Democratic Party and it is killing people everyday across the country and not just in Chicago.

Honestly, Trump couldn't debate his way out of a McDonalds bag, he a brawler, not a debater.

Is Cruz going to explain how his father killed JFK?

I disagree with you. Mass shootings are about as bad as it can get. Most of the shootings in Chicago and other big cities are gang members shooting gang members. It's much worse when good, innocent people are gunned down for no reason. That doesn't mean the situation in Chicago isn't bad, but it is different. TX is the poster child for mass shootings so Ted shouldn't be talking. 4 out of 10 of the worst mass shootings were in TX. They have had 2 in just the last few weeks. They even had a shooter mass kill police there with a rifle.

Mass shootings are spectacular, but they constitute only a small percentage of the number of shootings we have each year. If the concern is the safely of the public, then the emphasis should be on the shootings in the poor and mostly minority neighborhoods of Chicago and the other cities and not on the occasional shootings that mostly effect white middle class people, but the Democrats ignore these shootings because they don't want to risk offending minority voters.

Democrats have politicized this issue by basing their position on mass shootings in order to appeal to white middle class voters without risking offencing minority voters, all the while ignoring the vast number of shooting that occur in America each year, in an act of profound political cynicism.

You stop what you can
To stop mass shootings we need to stop making it so easy to get their weapons of choice

If we really want to stop gun violence, we need to go after handguns

I hope all of BK's neighbors have weapons of mass destruction to keep him ,,,,,,,safe
