Thank You Resident Biden for High Gas Prices

You know, prior to the pandemic, Amarillo gas prices varied between 2.25 and 2.75/gal. When the pandemic hit, and Amarillo went into lockdown mode, gas prices dropped all the way down to 1.32, and stayed there for a week or two. As time went on and restrictions started to be lifted, the gas prices slowly rose. Now? Last time I checked, gas was at around 2.30/gal. No, I don't blame Biden, I blame the oil company executives who ACTUALLY control the prices. When nobody was using their product, gas prices dropped. When people started driving around and needing gas again? Prices went up.

No, Biden isn't responsible for the gas prices.

$4.00 Memorial Day?
I paid over $4 last year. Was Biden President?

Gas fell below $2 a gallon multiple times in my area under Obama/Biden. It never fell below $2 even once in four years of Trump. Abd that's with all of the alleged great deals with the Saudis. It didn't fall below $2 last year, when oil was at negative cost per barrel.

Just how much money did Trump get out of the deal anyway?

There is nothing to argue here.

It fell to 1.99 at the end of last year here in Ventura.

Fuck those psychopaths... Trump and MBS.

Gas prices are seasonal

$2.50 is typical. We payed over $4 a gallon under Republican Bush.
Because of the war.
that was during the disruption in supply caused by Katrina.

Katrina and its effect on Gulf operations certainly caused a spike --- and I know those prices only too well as I was fueling trucks to move things BECAUSE OF Katrina. But gas was twice as high as the post-Katrina prices in the summer of 2008, when it hit its all-time high. That wasn't caused by Bush; it was caused by the economic collapse that was about to happen in September. By the end of that year it was a third of what it had been that prior summer as the economy collapsed.

Presidents have nothing to do with gas prices, shit-for-brains.

This one does!

Obviously you have no clue in the world how the oil bidness works.

Price per barrel. It zoomed up after Bi-Dung's energy EO's.
Don't play stupid unless you really are, and I'll bank on the latter.

Here's a wag, I tell him he has no clue how the oil bidness works and his response is "price per barrel".

SMGDH.

Price fluctuations of available oil are set by the operations of massive multinational corporations, who are the actual drillers, refiners, shippers and sellers of oil. They direct that product to wherever is most profitable. And their allegiance is to their shareholders (like me) and not to any national flag. No POTUS has jack shit to do with that.

wow gas prices depend upon who is president. Supply and demand has nothing to do with it. Economy 000.
Speculation has everything to do with it. The instant rise in prices has nothing to do with real world supply or demand. Realistically it would take several weeks for the supply chain to be affected by a disruption in the market. The gas in the stations tanks were one price when filled and shouldn't change instantly because the casino on Wall Street says so. Thank the internet for that.
The speculation is based upon a President who has already shown an unfriendly attitude towards fossil fuels.
The president sets the tone and his tone is fuck fossil fuels and screw the middle class.
Then he picks more elitist career swamp rats to help turn us "green".

Wake the hell up.
Prices are going up another buck by July.

Does when said Presidente kills pipelines and drill leases on Fed lands.
