Thanks Obama! Obamacare more popular than ever says report.

The OP based his fake news bullshit lie on a local Florida paper article. Moderators, please move this rubber room bullshit to the rubber room

Was 50M when handed to Obama. He got it down to under 30M. Republicans working hard to drive it back to 50M if they had their way. If it was sellable we’d have guaranteed insurance coverage for everyone. You shouldn’t have to pay not to die. Seems barbaric.

Actually, if you were paying attention, you would know that President Trump's plan would have provided tremendous care of unprecedented excellence- at a savings you would have to see to believe.

Unfortunately, McCain reached across the aisle to his leftist friends to defeat it out of spite.

Obamacare has been a smashing success despite Republicans' repeated attempts to kill it. A win for the good guys. Even Florida, which Republicans try to legislate themselves back into the dark ages are loving their Obamacare.

The federal program, which was signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2010, is more popular than ever nationwide, too. A record 14.5 million people signed up for this year, surpassing the previous high by almost 2 million. That’s despite Republican attempts to challenge it in court and abolish it during President Donald Trump’s term.

It's been 9 years now, most don't even remember what was before. In 2013 nobody loved it.

A for profit HC plan that benefits D Party donors big time, but does little for poor people. What’s not to love.

Obamacare, which was sold as insuring all Americans, only reduced the number of Americans without insurance by less than 5% of the population.

Forty-two million people were uninsured in the United States in 2013, the year before the implementation of President Obama's health care law, according to an annual report from the Census Bureau released Tuesday.

The number represented 13.4 percent of the population.

  • In 2020, 8.6 percent of people, or 28.0 million, did not have health insurance at any point during the year.

When you rob Peter to pay Paul, the Paul's of your society generally have no objection.

In your OP it highlights a 35 year old father working at a doughnut shop 30 hours a week. It says he only pays $18.00 a month for insurance. Since that's impossible to get a plan otherwise, who do you think is supplying the rest of the money for his coverage? How do you think he votes every election if he votes at all?

So sad, but you have to look at the obvious flaws. For one, it states that he was considering moving to Canada or Australia. What? He could afford to move to a different country but can't afford health insurance? He would rather move out of the country instead of getting a better paying job with benefits which are all around him? Something doesn't smell right with this story.

How many of those people on Commie Care are only on it because the plot caused them to lose their employer sponsored insurance like what happened to me when it came out? It's kind of like the Mayor of my city wanting every house painted blue or else he would double their city tax, and then saying to the media "see how much people love blue houses?"

But since you love Commie Care so much, could you please find me a plan because they don't have one for my provider, the world famous Cleveland Clinic. What happened to if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor? What happened to if you like your hospital you can keep your hospital? Two of the biggest bullshit claims the commies used to push this monstrosity through.

And besides that, what was counted as being “insured“ included those with super-high deductibles for very narrow networks. Obamacare moved millions of middle-income people from having regular insurance to having what was basically “major medical” - only it cost as much as regular insurance.

Pre-Ocare my deductible was $2000; afterwards it was $6000. The only year insurance ever kicked in was the year i got a colonoscopy. Every other year, I paid for all services.

More popular than ever?

With whom?

Amongst beneficiaries?

Or amongst net-pay taxpayers who end up footing the bill?

Maybe you should be polling the people who pay for it?

It could be more to it than that. The only reason people would sign onto it is if they don't have insurance through their employer. Now that employers had to pay more for labor to compete with government handouts, they too may be dropping their healthcare coverage for employees to makeup the loss. Is that a good sign?
