The border wall equals incompetence.

While you almost have a point, and I do mean ALMOST. You obviously missed a number of valid points. There are other border walls. We could go back in time to China's wall, or the Berlin Wall. We could go to the present to Israel's wall, which was built in part by American money.

So the proof on walls is the Great Wall of China, which the Mongols bypassed, took over their country and installed their own leader.

Or the Berlin wall, which was meant as an attempt to keep people IN.

Or Jerusalem. The City with the most walls built in human record which was overrun nearly 2 dozen times (most times for a city to have been overrun in human history).

Sounds like you are making the "walls don't work" argument better than anyone else ever could. Thanks

Only in the last few years has anyone made the decision to either not fund border security or talk about tearing down existing border security. It being now a matter of political bias.

So wait, Obama put up more miles of border security in his first two years than trump. And with that, we've seen border crossings drop to an all time low, where trump's DHS is saying the issue now is coming through ports of entry and overstaying visa's which a wall doesn't fix. But since trump gives lip service to border security with a solution his own DHS and republican senators wouldn't fund, and 58 former Republican and Democrat national security leaders say is not the issue, it's "political bias"?

Got to give you credit you are even dumber then most of the haters on here. First you talk about walls not working then you make the claim that 44 put up walls that are working. So which is it? Or did you not get all the correct talking points memos?

We have people everyday who shout we need to listen to the experts. Well those experts are the Boarde Patrol. They know what we need. They have identified areas that need fencing and not just some sign, not some three strand barb wire fence with holes. You dim wits seem to think people are talking about a wall like the Great Wall from sea to sea. If you think that sort of thing can be built for what is being asked for you have serious mental and monetary issues.

NO ONE but idiots are thinking that a wall by itself is going to do anything. Any structure can be breached. Will a wall in a strategic point slow down illegal crossings? You yourself admitted that they will. Will it give Boader Patrol a better chance to apprehend when they are attempting to bypass a wall rather then just walking unhindered? Why yes it will.

If walls do not work in the way I have out lined then why do we still build them? Why are they still part of boarders? Why do some pay large sums of money to live in gated communities? We even build walls around penitentiaries, military installations. There are walls for banks. Yet fools tell us they don't work. Then in the same sentence they admit they do.

I was pointing out that using some of the biggest wall failures in history doesn't help the argument for a wall.

And yes fencing has helped. Which is why those voting for stronger borders have always voted for that. Good point on the border control. Kinda funny how for decades with both parties in place they had their opposition to the wall until Trump put his guys in there then had to remove that stance. What was their report on it??? "a waste of taxpayer money that focus on the symptom rather than the problem (hiring illegals)". Which matched what the DEA and DHS were both saying and continue to say as well. Interesting how when the president who comes in office who is the problem (hiring illegals) takes office that had to go away without a shred of evidence or claim of any reason.

We have 58 of these experts saying it isn't needed. We have every single representative on the border saying this isn't what's needed. We have DHS saying this isn't the problem. We have the DEA saying this isn't even in the top 5 spots for our problem.

Instead we are going with the answer that the border patrol has said "will not solve the issue of people entering the country" but "will undoubtably increase as more walls and fences are constructed". The item which the border control says "will require just as much manpower to protect them". The item which they say that those who want to get into the US to gain employment will "continue to go over, around, and under the ones constructed".

Please learn to spell "BORDERS"!

I automatically subtract 50 IQ points in my estimation of someone's intelligence who is either too lazy or uneducated to spell it correctly!

Why do you lie?

President Trump does not hire illegals.

Illegals were hired by some of his companies with forged documents.

You were somehow trying to equate walls that failed due to a concerted effort by military force with a barrier meant to keep out a small number at a time.

I believe you are again equating a small number of so called experts to the over whelming amount that say it will work and they need to be put in place. The 58 you are talking about were talking about Trumps use of a declaration of an emergency. Why would the wives of those working on the border invite Pelosi to come down and see for her self if those on the border did not believe that it would help the problem? I will use climate change to illustrate a point. We have a large amount saying it is man made yet you can still find scientists that claim it is not.

If we could get Democrats to get behind things like e-verify and other items to stem illegals aquiring work it would help to stem the tide. Instead they actually work to encourage illegals. DACA, sancutuary cities, drivers licenses, allowing them to practice law, voting in at least local elections even going so far as to warn of an impending ICE raid.

Trump did not hire illegal workers. Someone who worked for his bussinesses hired workers who had forged documents. I doubt very much that Trump even knows the names or anything about the people that do the hiring of the help for him, little own even cares about the names of those that they hire.

People are not the only ones dying at the wall

Animals can no loner go from one place to another as they have always done because a wall blocks the way.

Even low flying birds are getting an abrupt surprise, a wall that was never there before!!

But the ants, they will go between the spaces doing what they do best.

We need to rethink this wall; don’t you agree & is not, why not?

Just asking :)-

Your post would have merit if anything you posted was true. 44 started building a wall and then abandoned the project because it WASN'T working, and it couldn't be done.

When I want to know how to stop people from jumping the border, the last people I would ask is the Border Patrol. Those people who have to round up those who have crossed have no idea why they're coming, and no idea on how to stop them from coming which is, after all, the goal. Catching them once the get here is not solving the problem.

If the wall "by itself" isn't going to stop people, it's an awfully expensive way just to slow them down, dontcha think?

The you make a number of fallacious comparisons and ask why we build walls. Mostly, we build walls to keep the weather out, and the heat, and our personal possessions in. We build fences to delineate property lines.

Wealthy people build gated communities because they're afraid of poor people, and/or racial minorities. Gated communities are not an "only in America" fixture. They're a fixture of every authoritarian dictatorship, and oligarchy in the world. They tried them in Canada and failed miserably. There's not enough fear and paranoia in Canada for people to pay extra for the "security". But they're very popular in Brazil, and other banana republics.

Walls are not part of your Northern Border, nor were they part of your Southern Border until 2000. Levels of illegal immigration were much higher before you started building walls. And since you have already admitted that "more than walls are needed", why don't we go directly to those other methods that don't involve an capital investment of $50 billion, plus continual repair and replace upgrades thereafter, and destruction of the environment just to slow down but not stop illegal border crossings.

You build high walls to keep prisoners in, and then you have guard towers, lights, sensors, and human body counts - none of which you'd need if walls really worked.

Every other country in the world has border security without a wall. But in America, we can't figure it out? Is America really the weakest country in the world? I can't accept that. We're America, bitches! We're the greatest country in the world!

The problem is that our President is incompetent.
You were clearly seeing the future with this post.

Our president is indeed incompetent.

No one built a war to maintain peace.
You might think it's the greatest country but It's clear you don't do much thinking.

Btw, all those problems existed before Joe arrived.

You always seem to have no clue but add your crazy ideas anyway. If you had the slightest clue you might be kind of cute.
So if the people working on the border are not the ones to ask so exactly who should we ask? Biden, the clown that can not even find the border?
You claim walls in prisons are not the answer. Very well tell that to state and government officials and watch them laugh at you.
no one is saying that walls are the be all or end all. Well that is everyone but you.
we have had walls on the California border for many years, guess what they actually cut down on the amount of illegal traffic. It did not stop all but it did slow it down.
Why is it crazy Canadians that have trouble even running their own country think they should be telling everyone how to run others?
