The ends justify the means, right?

I guess conservative favs Scalia, Thomas, and Alito aren't so smart afterall,

since they stupidly still insist the mandate is NOT a tax.

eh?

Speaking of ends

SCOTUS now violates Obama’s 2008 tax pledge to not raise taxes on middle-class and poor Americans.

The biggest tax ever imposed on American citizens, amounting to $1.7 trillion over the first decade, according to the CBO

This bill doesn't raise taxes on poor Americans.

so much for everyone having skin the game
you all are going to run out of taxpayers money for your utopia, soon

God you are one fat dumb broad.

Indeed
be careful what you wish for......
(even slavery was ruled at one time "constitutional")

Constitutional, only as a tax
And the largest regressive tax increase in history

Obama_Got_Your_Back.jpg

The Left should run with this....
:eusa_whistle:

And the largest regressive tax increase in history
Stop quoting Limbaugh...it'll rot your brain!

oh brother

As I understand it...and I don't profess to be fully informed...but the "tax" is actually the penalty for not having insurance isn't that right?
Most Americans have health insurance is that right?
Americans that can't afford to buy insurance will be subsidised under the scheme...is that true?
The projections by the CBO are that about 4 million people will end up paying the penalty, sorry tax, sorry penalty...whatever.
That's about 1.3%.

Even Justice John Roberts said "The amount due will be far less than the price of insurance," he wrote. "It may often be a reasonable financial decision to make the payment rather than purchase insurance."

Go on, I bet you can find a bigger tax increase than that!
Mr Limbaugh proclaims it the biggest tax increase in the history of the world!

Money forced out of one by the gov't is a tax
premium or tax penalty

Again largest regressive tax increase in history
Be careful what you wish for....

No doubt the Left will need to make more poor convoluted attempts to
to explain when a tax is a tax

Sort of like the liberal theory on what makes one a minority

Have you not seen the list of the 21 other taxes that are imposed through the ACA?

That is simply not true there is no net regressivity in the taxes in Obamacare.

You don't know what you're talking about and should stop talking.

Like I said

" a little pregnant"

The median U.S. family income is about $50,000. Family health coverage can easily run $20,000 a year — and rising quickly. In that scenario, the coverage mandate is essentially a 40 percent tax on that family, which is now required by law to ensure that every family member has qualifying coverage.

And because the cost of the coverage will be similar even though incomes vary significantly, the lower the income the higher the effective tax rate — in essence, the most regressive tax in U.S. history, too.

Ignore the man behind the curtain
seems to be the best game plan for the left

Again
one should be careful what they wish for.....

Papa Obamacare: It’s not just a big f***ing deal… It’s a big f***ing tax.

That's nonsensical.

You're ignoring the simple facts that poor people who are eligible for Medicaid are not affected by the mandate,

and that there is a sliding scale subsidy to pay for the mandated healthcare,

and that most people already have healthcare

and that the taxes in the bill are heavily weighted towards people making over 250,000 a year.

Using that logic
Hey what is the big thing with a tax increase
After all you are paying taxes now

The left should run with that,,,,,

Yes a "little pregnant"
:eusa_whistle:

Medicaid...?
thanks for reminding me

Combined now with the fact, due to the SCOTUS ruling that states
can opt out of Papa Obama cares's Medicaid expansion...

This will lead to substantially higher costs for Papa Obama Care .

The CBO is coming out soon with a new cost trajectory of Obamacare because
of these changes

A lot of attention has been given to the mandate. Less attention has been given to that, because of the SCOTUS ruling, states can't be forced to be on board with the
Medicaid expansion making Papa Obama care exchange subsidies, fiscally unworkable. The Court may have just set in motion events that could lead to Papa Obama Care
busting the budget even more.

Which is why, never trust the Left on taxes

eh?

obama agrees with them. He and his democrat minions are STILL saying that it's not a tax. If it's not a tax, then it is unconstitutional.

Justice Roberts gave us the solution to the problem. If you don't like the tax, change the government.

Indeed

Good point

Again, don't trust the Left on taxes and
never trust the Left on spending estimates of gov't programs

Spending Program
Medicare Part A
What politicians said it would cost- $9 billion a year by 1990
What it actually cost- $67 billion a year

Entire Medicare Program
What politicians said it would cost- $12 billion a year by 1990
What it actually cost- $110 billion a year

Medicare relief to states for hospitals
What politicians said it would cost- $1 billion a year in 1992
What it actually cost- $17 billion a year

But hey
no need to worry

Considering the premium/penalty are now a tax,
the mandate becomes the largest regressive tax increase in U.S. history.

But hey, we are paying taxes now
so what is a little more

Yes, apparently you are ignoring the fact that the poor are already taken care of and it will be once again the middle class getting it shoved to them. I hope I am wrong.

Not really. That family making 50 k would not ever be required to pay 20k for their family health insurance plan if that is what you say it costs. Government subsidies would come in and help pay it....the 50k person would be responsible for about 5k of his health insurance, if I understand the Bill correctly...that's still a lot of money, but not nearly the money you are saying....

I am retired, and Matt is one hair from retiring, and with his job paying for most of our health insurance, for the 2 of us, on a lot less income than the 50k, we pay out of pocket $5000 a year for our health care policy, plus another $3000 in copays and deductibles, (plus nearly another $1000 a year for Dental Insurance) before the health care policy comes in and pays 80% of our medical bills that they agree to pay....not even all the bills, just 80% of what they approve.

It ain't a pretty situation...trust me.
