The GOP has blown it on Health Care

Yes it does, general welfare.

Why did I just KNOW thzt fallacious arguement was coming?

That line rdlatds to the General Welfsre of the NATION, not the individual citizens. Dcen if it did, the remaining portion of thst section goes on to explicitly list the items that make up "General Welfare and Common Defense". There are 18 of them. Healthcare is nowhere among them.
Nope, providing for the general welfare IS one of the enumerations.

Clearly spelled out by Madison that General Welfare had reference to the specifically defined tasks of the federal government.

To accept your statement is to ask why we even bother to have states or a 10th amendment.

Well, it's looking like the Republican health care bill is gonna get passed and signed into law.

Guess what Republicans? You now own healthcare.

Has anybody notified the Senate that we're skipping their vote on a bill, Conference Committee and re-votes on the results of the CC? I'd imagine they're not going to be pleased about this.

Sshhh... that's supposed to be a secret.

Now neithdr party holds any moral high groubd on the issue. Both groups are equally at fault and Republicans can explain to tgeir voters how REPEAL suddenly became REPLACE.

They notified the Senate while they were on the WH lawn with Trump, celebrating the end of the ACA.

Some of them were even singing "hey hey good bye".

Democrats are going to gain seats in 2018 after today. How many they'll gain we shall see.

No, if this becomes law it belongs to the GOP.

They have the House, the Senate, reconciliation and the White House. They've got it all, and they could have done whatever they wanted.

For EIGHT YEARS, they promised us they had a better plan. Here it is, and it's all theirs.

You know, I REALLY hope that the Senate waits for the CBO to grade this before they pass it. I'd like to know what the end cost is going to be, as well as whether or not people are going to lose healthcare because of it.

The House passed it blindly, without letting the CBO grade it, because last time, it was the grading by the CBO that showed the costs and it was voted down.

Now? They just pass it blindly, hoping the Senate would do the same.

Kind of what the Republicans accused the Dems of doing when the ACA was first passed. They accused the Dems of passing the bill without knowing what was in it.

Looks like the Republicans have done the same here with their version.

Failed none. Your lack of reading comprehension is your problem, not mine.

The very first enumeration...

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

That is not a lead in to the next 17; but stands on it's own. It's why it's legal and constitutional for the Congress to maintain an Air Force as they are burdened with the responsibility of providing "common Defence" for the nation. You're senile to think otherwise.

Thats NOT the first enumerztion. That's a preamble, noting what is to come and how it is to be paid for.
LOLOL

If that wasn't the first enumeration, then there would be only 17. And of course, there's 18.

Thinking is a problem for you.

The fact thzt every item after it stsrts "To......" should make that perfectly clear.
Wait for it ....................................................

to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States

Why can they not come up with a plan that covers every last citizen for alot cheaper with better coverage?
Stop looking to government to fix all the woes. To do so is a major mistake. Instead, promote personal responsibility. The government does not care about you, your kids, or your parents. All of them claim they do, but their actions prove they do not. They do what they are told to do. Look at Obama. He was gifted $400k this week from Wall Street after his rhetoric and his actions had nothing in common. Said one thing, did another, and is now collecting his payday. They are all pigs.

...and as it turns out it's not "better" it's just a different form of government controlled healthcare, same shit, different label on the box. The so called "small government conservative" Republican Party has conceded the argument on government control of Healthcare to the left, instead of moving toward an individual choice, free market based healthcare system by removing all the egregious government controls they are just proposing to change the mechanics of those controls.

So called Republican "Conservatives" have no principles and thus they're just marching down the road to single payer in lock step with the Democrats.

And in many cases there's a private sector choice for people that can pay...So it isn't forced unlike the aca.
Single payer is very inefficient and costly… Fact

You're a nasty man.
Then keep it to yourself, millions of people want nothing to do with that shit why force them into the collective?

You would need to understand what is driving the cost increases first. You need an understanding that you'll never have.

Rustic, many more want single payer than don't.

Your "collective" argument is silly. Grow up.
Well, whatever the number is those that want it Form it for themselves, leave the millions of us that want nothing to do with out of it - although I think far less really want something like that than what you think…
It does not take the participation of everybody for something like that… LOL

No problem.
You don't need any insurance at all.
Just sign this form that says you opt out and will never go to a hospital for anything.

What's amusing about your whiny little rant, Sailor is that the Democrats not only passed the ACA without knowing what was in it...the Democrats who crafted that legislation deliberately lied to the American people over and over and over again about how it would work and how much it would cost. The GOP is faced with the daunting task of turning that piece of shit legislation into something that's fair and won't bankrupt the country.
