The open borders crowd constantly tell the American people that there are only two solutions to our nation's illegal alien crisis – give illegal aliens amnesty or round them up and deport them. This is a diversionary tactic to draw public attention away from the most effective and efficient solution – Attrition Through Enforcement.

The principle behind Attrition Through Enforcement is that living illegally in the United States will become more difficult and less satisfying over time when the government – at ALL LEVELS – enforces all of the laws already on the books. It is also imperative that the government with the full cooperation of the private sector, implements certain workplace enforcement measures. The goal is to make it extremely difficult for unauthorized persons to live and work in the United States. There is no need for taxpayers to watch the government spend billions of their dollars to round up and deport illegal aliens; they will buy their own bus or plane tickets back home if they can no longer earn a living here.

You're joking .... right? ......... Lets think about this for a second. How many U.S. citizens are unemployed? Also, businesses pay what they have to pay in order to run their business. If a business wants to stay in business, they'll pay whatever they have to pay for labor. If a business is not willing to pay labor, then that business will more than likely fold and go out of business. So, again, where there's a demand, someone will satisfy that demand. Someone will figure out how to satisfy labor and consumers. It's been going on for centuries. .......... business and economics 101 .......

I don't believe that it would work. In my opinion, without a very harsh penalty, greed will always win out. Greed trumps common sense in most cases. The penalty has to be severe in order to send the right message, and stop the practice dead in its tracks immediately. A slap on the wrist would never stop the hiring and assisting of illegal immigrants. Greed is a powerful emotion................. just my personal opinion.

From the perspective of a contractor, a year in prison is quite severe. Include human resource managers, holding them responsible for the hiring of illegals.

I would say that the top dog, the owner, or the CEO should be put in prison. In the case of a publically held entity, I would put the CEO in prison. In the case of a privately owned business, I would put the owner in prison. Also, in the case of a publically owned entity, I would limit stock trades for no less that one month. In addition, in the case of a privately owned business, I would place a one year probation period, and if they were caught again during that one year probation period, they would have to close the doors for two months.

Well, hiring an illegal immigrant is against the law, or at least, it should be against the law. Illegal immigrants are in this country illegally. Illegally means that it's against the law for them to be here. Aiding or assisting them in breaking the law, should be punished. If you aid or assist a bank robber in any way, you're guilty of a crime. Why should aiding or assisting someone that's breaking the law, go unpunished?

Face reality. Our political system is being run by those who have a very different idea of how things should work.

The Koch brothers are not dumping 8oo million dollars into this presidential campaign to make things better for the average American. As long as people vote according to the ads and against their own best interest this is what we get.

I am afraid that it's a futile dream that voters will lose their ideological fanaticism and educate themselves.
