The only people who continue to promote wind/solar are those who are ignorant of basic physics. Only nuclear can produce the levels of energy we need

Do you consider yourself a populist and reactionary?

I consider myself a strict constructional federalist.

Right now, I align with the populists, and we on the right are all reactionaries to the progressive illiberalism we are currently experiencing.

Of course. Why are populist movements bad?

Why is reactionary bad?

Or we go back to the crux of leftist ideology, why is the profit motive bad?
The thoughts and words of many leaders of the founding generation of the USA spoke to that. They won teh arguments and started out with...

Divided government

Senate vs House

Representative democracy

sigh

and the nonsense about Left ideology? Liberals do not adhere to leftist ideology, no matter how hard weirdos try and claim they do.

Most people have nothing against profit. Greed vs profit? There are cultural memes about that one: Gordon Gekko, for one

That was to prevent populist movements from gaining all power, or power quickly, not to prevent them from trying to gain some power or influence policy. You aren't arguing against populists, you are talking about protections against pure democracy, something the left will scream for if Harris wins the popular vote but loses the EV.

Current leftists are not liberals.

The hard base of the Dem party including the Democratic Socialists hiding in the sheets sure have an issue with it.

Bernie Sanders is on line #4

Did you intend to say constructional or did you mean Constitutional?

Constructional. It's about the Constitution, and about believing the document says what it says, open to very limited interpretation and clarification only. All real changes require the amendment process.

You say "constructional" and then describe Constitutional. How would you distinguish your constructionalism from strict Constitutionalism?

six of one, half dozen of the other. Strict Constructional is the proper term, but it does mean adherence to the text of the Consitutiton as written.

As opposed to the "living Constitution" doctrine, which really means no Constitution at all.
