Intelligence has always been an essential requirement for a advanced civilization. See I.Q. and the Wealth of Nations>>>>>IQ and the Wealth of Nations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
IQ and the Wealth of Nations is a 2002 book by Dr. Richard Lynn, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and Dr. Tatu ...

Intelligence was appreciated, recognized and rewarded in decades past...but in recent times since the emergence and dominance of political correctness.....the importance of the role of intelligence has taken a back-seat to 'equalism'...any teacher or anyone knowledgable of our public school system understands all too well that the focus in our educational system now is to promote the fallacy that all students are equal...that intelligence is determined by environment ...that no child should be left behind and other assorted socialistic b.s.
Now comes a new discovery in the field of intelligence....the first discovery of a 'Intelligence Gene'.
First intelligence gene discovered

An international team of scientists identified a gene linked to intelligence, a small piece in the puzzle as to why some people are smarter than others.

PARIS: An international team of scientists identified a gene linked to intelligence, a small piece in the puzzle as to why some people are smarter than others.
A variant of this gene can tilt the scales in favour of a higher intelligence, said Paul Thompson, a neurologist at the University of California at Los Angeles, USA, senior author of the study published in Nature Genetics.
This study and others sure to come will eventually have a huge impact on our socialistic welfare policies and most assuredly our educational policies....why waste precious resources on students who do not have the intellectual ability to succeed in a academic setting? It sounds stupid to do so but that is what we have been doing for a number of years...absolutely outrageous most especially when we no long have the financial luxury to waste taxpayer money on friviolous idealistic nonsense.
