I'm not really concerned about their taking anything, even if all three branches of the federal government were in their hands. They have neither the spine nor sufficient manpower.

Assuming all current active and reserve military personnel supported such a move - and it's much more likely they would strongly oppose it - their numbers would total approximately 2,240,000.

The approximate number of gun owners in the US 100,000,000. Assuming as many as half of those were to submit, that would still leave a force of approximately 50,000,000 v. 2,240,000.

Even the Chinese have noted that America will never be overtly invaded. We have the largest civilian army in the world.
