The Shape of Things To Come???

What's really funny about this whole DHS weapon buying binge, is that they actually have to find Americans who are going to be willing to pull the trigger on other Americans. Not an easy task for sure. Especially when that task goes completely against the same Constitution that the DHS personnel have no doubt sworn to protect. I think that Liberals are going to be in for a really big surprise if they ever attempt some crazy Martial Law in an insane effort to further their loony utopian dream. Good luck with that.

"The federal government calls them FEMA Corps. But they conjure up memories of the Hitler Youth of 1930's Germany . Regardless of their name, Obama's Dept of Homeland Security has just graduated its first class of 231 Homeland Youth! Kids, aged 18-24 and recruited from the President's AmeriCorp volunteers, they represent the first wave of DHS's "Youth Corps", designed specifically to create a full time, paid, standing army of FEMA Youth across the country!

On September 13, 2012, the Department of Homeland Security graduated its first class of FEMA Corps first-responders, "Homeland Youth". While the idea of having a volunteer force of tens of thousands of volunteers scattered across the country to aid in times of natural disasters sounds great, the details and timing of this new government army is somewhat curious, if not disturbing!

DHS raising an armed army!

The first problem one finds with this 'new army' is the fact that they are mere children. Yes, 18 is generally the legal age a person can sign a contract, join the military or be tried as an adult. But ask any parent - an 18, 20 or even a 24 year-old is still a naïve, readily-influenced kid.

The second problem with this announcement and program is its timing. Over the past two years, Obama has signed a number of Executive Orders suspending all civil and Constitutional rights and turning over management of an America under Martial Law to FEMA!"

"...at the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month. Therefore 1.6 billion rounds would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America.

Add to this perplexing outré purchase of ammo, DHS now is showing off its acquisition of heavily armored personnel carriers,..."

Can you show where they have actually purchased 1.6 billion rounds?

Can you show where they have actually purchased 1.6 billion rounds?

You Communists sure are lazy fuckers...

{Dixon said one of the contracts would allow Homeland Security to buy up to 750 million rounds of ammunition over the next five years for its training facilities. The rounds are used for basic and advanced law enforcement training for federal law enforcement agencies under the department's umbrella. The facilities also offer firearms training to tens of thousands of federal law enforcement officers. More than 90 federal agencies and 70,000 agents and officers used the department's training center last year.

The rest of the 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition would be purchased by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal government's second largest criminal investigative agency. }

Do you understand what a purchase of "up to" 750 million rounds is?

Contracts are worded to get the best available purchase price. Multi agency procurements allow low procurement costs to be spread around multiple buyers

Same goes for multiyear procurements

Doesn't mean you will actually buy that many rounds but I would still start building my bunker if I were you

"In a puzzling, unexplained development, the Obama administration has been buying and storing vast amounts of ammunition in recent months, with the Department of Homeland Security just placing another order for an additional 21.6 million rounds.

Several other agencies of the federal government also began buying large quantities of bullets last year. The Social Security Administration, for instance, not normally considered on the frontlines of anything but dealing with seniors, explained that its purchase of millions of rounds was for special agents' required quarterly weapons qualifications. They must be pretty poor shots.

But DHS has been silent about its need for numerous orders of bullets in the multiple millions."

"Over the last year, the Department of Homeland Security has purchased 1.6 billion rounds of hollow point ammunition for unknown reasons. A new solicitation has appeared from the DHS requesting even more rounds. Posted on Fed Biz Ops on Wednesday, the solicitation requests 10 million .40 caliber 165 grain jacketed hollow point rounds, 10 million 9mm 115 grain jacketed hollow point rounds and 1.6 million 9mm pistol cartridge ball rounds. This comes to a total of 21.6 million bullets."

1.6 Billion rounds to ONE agency.

ICE is part of DHS, Goober.

Same goes for multiyear procurements

Doesn't mean you will actually buy that many rounds but I would still start building my bunker if I were you

Sounds like they fully plan to, which is nearly 4 times the munitions that the Army uses.

Yeah, they're not planning for civil war, just for, um, uh, let's see, a smurf hunt, yeah, that's it....

Along the same lines, Huffington Post reports:
"The Homeland Security Department wants to buy more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the next four or five years. It says it needs them – roughly the equivalent of five bullets for every person in the United States – for law enforcement agents in training and on duty."

Believable to you?

When was the last time you purchased 20 years worth of groceries to get a great price?

Nice cut and paste......you make me so proud

But nowhere in there does it show the government actually having actually purchased 1.6 billion rounds

I can sign a contract that allows me to buy up to 1.6 billion rounds over the next five years. Doesn't mean I have bought them

They cut a P.O.

That's a contract. No doubt there is a 10% clause, so it may end up a little less, or a little more.

Either way, DHS is requisitioning far more Ammo than the Army, Navy, and Marines combined.

Standard Disclaimer: They don't actually give the Air Force guns, do they?

Bullets are a lot cheaper than Hellfire missiles. They'll kill the guy who describes Obama as 'Comrade Corksucker Obama' daily on multiple blogs just as effectively as a Hellfire through the dining room window while he's gathered with his family at dinner on Easter Sunday.

We have The Occupy slugs and thugs waiting backstage, Obama's very own 'Brownshirt Army". He has remodeled the military in his own image. Expect a 'Night Of the Long Knives' very shorlty after which every citizen still free on the streets will be chirping the same Liberal love song.

How true

Obama reads this board and is probably taking down names as we speak

Do you have a link showing how many rounds the armed forces have purchased to cover not only the wars but all training for the next five years?

Killing some fat peckerwoods who are trying to destroy America is not as unappealing a prospect as you might think it is.

It's not appealing to sane people, but you've been wanting to put your neighbors in death camps all your life.

Difference between you Obamabot democrats and the Khmer Rouge is......

Well...

I got nothing.

You know when George Washington called for a militia to put down the Whiskey Rebellion, you know those anti-tax insurgents,

he got an army of 15,000, more than he ever had during the Revolution.

Americans have a long history of being willing eager and able to defend this country against Americans who turn against it.

Bring it on fat boy.

Not directly, but there is this..

{To provide some perspective, experts estimate that at the peak of the Iraq war American troops were firing around 5.5 million rounds per month. At that rate, the [Department of Homeland Security] is armed now for a 24-year Iraq war. A 24-year Iraq war! }

Feds Buy Two Billion Rounds of Ammunition

There are rounds you actually fire in combat and what you fire in training. My money says the rounds fired in training are a lot higher

You know when George Washington called for a militia to put down the Whiskey Rebellion, you know those anti-tax insurgents,

Fabricating history, huh? Only the Governors of the many states could call on the Militia.

he got an army of 15,000, more than he ever had during the Revolution.

Actually, the states raised those. Washington sent negotiators.

Americans have a long history of being willing eager and able to defend this country against Americans who turn against it.

You have a long history of wanting to murder your fellow Americans. But you're a weasel, you're the type that informs to the Stasi, not the kind that fights toe to toe.
