While we have never been a nation ruled by any religion, he United States was founded upon and followed a rich religious moral boundary. Much of, and even most of that moral history was based upon the Bible. there is enough history available for everyone to read to show that to be true. I believe our nation has survives so well because of that history.

I think it is wonderful that Senator Forbes has proposed HR397, to have a Spiritual Heritege Week on the first week of May each year. We need to remember the spiritual history of this nation.

With that said, anyone following this thread can clearly see that most of the people writing here really have no Christian history or even religious history, themselves. The trash talk is worthless in this discussion. Read HR 397, and you will see a rich Christian, "religious" History lesson.

Personally, my history is about the awesome God who made me, and has a wonderful personal relationship with me. I believe He is God Almighty, and full of love, but He is, at the same time, true Justice. Our nation may have seen His hand being lifted from us, and we may be now walking into a future without His protection. That is made very clear by some of the rediculous and immoral posts that are written on this thread.

Absolutely ridiculous. You morons claim that keeping our government neutral on the topic of religion means that the nation will fall without god. That is a false argument. As long as you can even think a prayer (and that can never be prohibited), you have god with you and you can talk to him and ask him to protect you and anyone else. What you're saying is that government recognition of the christian god is the only thing that will protect us and that the personal prayer of every individual that engages in it is absolutely useless. Are you sure you want to make that asinine argument?
