Your graph is bullsh#t and I will tell you why. It shows everybody equal in 1979. And that is simply NOT true.

EQUAL HELL.....IT WAS SIMPLY A STARTING POINT. In the 1940's, 50's a corporate executive earned about 12-15 times what a carpenter or plumber made. By the 1970's that multiplier had increased to about 100 times as much. Now a CEO earns about 500 times what an ordinary worker makes. You ever heard of leaving the fox to guard the chicken house?

Judging by the years and who was president then Clinton and Obama have REALLY screwed some folks.

You wanna know who screwed the folks? George W. Bush started two wars, the one in Iraq totally unnecessary, then because of his tax cuts for the rich doubled the national debt and left the nation in deep recession. WHAT A DUMBASS

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH lol And the leaders in the Democratic party who demanded a 2nd vote authorizing the Iraq war so they could vote Yes?

Damn shame we didn't demand a second vote in 2000 when Bush's brother stole the election from Al Gore.

No it doesn't. The graph shows percentage change over time. Not absolute value. All categories will start at 0% change at the beginning of the measurement period.
The difference in the amount at start is not listed so the amount of change is invalid for NOT including that.

Invalid?
The chart is only meant to show the gain, nothing else.

The Wages Of Ordinary American Workers Has Increased 9% in Forty Years

Why this is bad for long term growth:

corporate-profits-and-wages.jpg

Look at the percentage of GDP for each.
Higher wages or wages that at least keep pace with inflation will support the larger percentage and will yield a larger growth return then sending all of the gains to the top.

Nearly 70% of GDP is consumer spending and 90% of individual consumers make less than 100K per yr.

Obviously there will be no significant growth without an increase in wages.
For those of you who continue to bitch about slow growth under Obama yet shrug off the idea that wage inequity isn't a problem, you have some learning to do.

Democrat cash cows aka government unions are doing fine on wages, benefits, and retirement. They take from the poor and middle class and pocket the money. Its also interesting that they invest their money in corporations benefiting from corporate profits. Swallow that sour pill libs.

Seems he fooled us all and we are all still paying for his bad decisions. Sad really.

Overall compensation is down as employers pay less into pension and healthcare.

Employees Are Paying More – Much More – for Health Care

Obvious solution: let leftist vote farmer regressives take even more of your wages.

The chart is indeed bullshit, not because it starts at zero, but because it implies these are the same people. Obviously as people get more educated the income disparity has to widen per year.

My salary has skyrocketed since 1997 increasing nearly 8x. But then I left the Democratic party, became a conservative, and began listening to Rush, coincidence?

Selling one's soul to Satan has supposedly given quite a number of people success. Sounds like you sold out cheap - you could've been a rock star.
