HELL IS VERY REAL!!! For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; 7 and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men 8 (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds), 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who [c]indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority. 2 peter 2:4-10
If hell is real then I am doomed to spend eternity waging war on God from the bottom of it.
Because I would never worship or respect a deity so twisted and monsterous that he would burn even the worst of humans in eternal hellfire.
That is a misconception about our Father. In fact, He being just the opposite, didn't leave our eternity to our free willed corruptible souls.
There are universal Laws. Ask a Physicist. God created them. One Law exists this way: The Punishment for Sin is Eternal Death.
Not only did our Father not create Hell and the Lake of Fire for His children, He came in human form and died in our place to remove ALL of our sins while we are here. And when Christ left to return to Heaven, He left us with the Holy Spirit as a guide to make sure we were capable of loving kindness. And being 100% just, He will give those who chose not to accept His pardon, with their day in court. What more do you require from your Father, son? He's done everything He can to keep you close!
Here are the attributes of someone who is acting, not according to his own spirit, but letting the Spirit of God act and react in our spirit's place, for our sake:
Galatians 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
If you ask for the Spirit, and you see yourself replacing your mean old attitude with the aforementioned works, you'll know whose in control. After a while kindness just becomes your norm. Try it the next time you want to rip someone's head off.
The Holy Spirit is another one of those gifts from a loving Father that will not be given to you against your free will. He'll be thrilled to send His Helper to you though if you just ask. The more we rely on it the stronger it and our spirit grows, and the nicer you become. It's a win win. Ask your wife, or your husband which spirit they would rather see more of.
