Yeah. I know the guy was wrong by making those threats, and apparently he had made threats in the past that he never acted out on. He may have been a threat BUT, the FBI knew he had weapons at home... they had to know that if they did a raid on his house he would most likely go for a weapon... if anything just out of reaction.
This is not the only time something like this has happened and I wonder that given all the resources the FBI and federal government have.... they could not have simply monitored and waited until the target was say.. getting out of his car in the parking lot of his favorite breakfast spot.
Same thing happened with Randy Weaver. Could have easily been handled a different way and with a different outcome.
