Things Were Better With Trump

Whose positions happened to be pretty similar to Trump.

At least in the second term.

Minus that whole NAFTA thing.

A week or so ago, I caught a 30 second snippet of the Dennis Prager radio program. He has apparently asked his audience if they could come up with a better slogan than "MAGA" for the remaining months of this election campaign. A guy called in and suggested the title at the top of this thread, to wit, Things Were Better With Trump.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that that fellow was on to something. Things were indeed better under Trump. Consider:

• Interest rates were low,
• Inflation was down,
• Energy costs were low,
• Federal revenues were increasing andcontinue creeping up as a result of the "Trump tax cuts",
• Unemployment, and in particular Black and Hispanic unemployment were low,
• Iran was suffering mightily under Trump's sanctions,
• The Abraham Accords were establishing excellent, unprecedented relationships between Israel and other Middle Eastern Countries,
• Our NATO allies were starting to meet their prior commitments on Defense Spending (which they had been ignoring),
• Immigration was better controlled than it had been in decades
• Putin was too intimidated to start any new mischief,
• No significant terrorist attacks against the U.S. or its interests,
• No hostages taken by Muslim extremists or Russia.

I'm ordering a hat with the intitials, "TWBWT"! I will be happy to explain it to anyone who inquires.

In reality things were worse. He took a bombing economy that Obama left him and brought it to it's knees.

Trump brought us the COVID vaccination, Trump wanted people to get back to work in April 2020. Democrat governors of CA and NY refused and shut down businesses for a year. Trump was cheated in the 2020 election. Should he have sat and done nothing? Would that have been fair to the majority of Americans who voted for him? You should move to Venezuela. You would love Maduro. Exact same situation as happened here in 2020.

Trump couldn't even order the right amount of vaccine. Had we gone back to work in April of 2020, there woud have been at least 10 milion deaths. Trump was not cheated in any election. Nothing happened here like Venezuela except Trump trying to stay in power.

Interest rates increased under Biden because he paid people for two years to stay at home, skip work, and smoke pot.

trump never had a majority of the votes. The recounts trump forced on US all increased Biden's lead because trump supporters tried to cheat and vote twice as trump told them to do. In other words another failure for the failure , that's all trump is good at.

COVID was going to happen no matter who was president. social distancing didnt make a difference, masks didnt make a difference, shutting down schools and businesses no difference, people who took the vaccines got covid.
Covid was going to run its course no matter who was in office. Before Covid came along Democrats were running scared because Americans were happy and the economy was good. They had nothing to run on.

Trump inherited a democratic created economy. Because of trump it was beginning to sink before the pandemic hit. Had Clinton been president she would not have erased the pandemic response team and woud have immediately invoked the Defense production act to created the necessary things to sucessfully mitigate the virus. Trump shut down that team and did he ever invoke the DPA? There are families who had members that died who didn't have to because of trump.

Yeah. Definitely, let's keep doing the same thing we've been doing for the past 30 years and work towards an even more Progressive Socialist future. They say it will be much different this time than every other time in history where totalitarian socialism has failed. What will happen this time?

Given the fact we have lost 51 trillion dollars since 1990 because of racism, then we must certainly reassess how we do things
