Is it really racism? Anyone can still get the vaccination. The state is just making sure minority populations are not left out. If the rates of infections are high among the minority populations then it would seem logical to ensure that this population gets the vaccinations. This is a common sense strategy. You cannot stop the spread if the population with the highest rates is not getting the vaccination for whatever reasons. It is not using racism in a bad way.

Actually it's more complex than that, much more than "lifestyle choices" which implies there is much of a choice to begin with. It also assumes there is no biological underpinnings to the different mortality outcomes. Why do fat lazy druggie whites still have a better statistical outcome than fat lazy druggie blacks?

Same deal with the polio vaccine in the '50s. Long lines: just give it to the people, keep the line moving. That's what's wanted, not all this datamining they love to do in a police state.

I agree. But the truth is, you need ID to do just about anything nowadays. What has changed? I have no clue....but to say you need ID to get a vaccine, you need ID to fly in a plane.... you need ID to enter an office building.....but no ID required to vote is ridiculous.
Why?

Because our elections are sacred. They determine the direction of the country. We have the luxury of free elections and it would be a sin for someone not eligible to vote to cancel out my vote.....or your vote
