The article you posted doesn't substantiate your claim ... they were jailed for "failure to appear" in court ... that is a very serious offense in our judicial system ...

Everybody understands not being able to pay huge medical bills ... and they were called into court to demonstrate they couldn't pay ... there are alternatives but this court session is an important step in that process ... what these folks pulled is some Sovereign Citizen bullshit is all ... I have no mercy if the fools can't even plead their case, fools I say ...

I actually went through bankruptcy
in a special court in Santa Rosa, Ca. during the early 90's., unlike you. There is no "humiliation".

Only a sense of relief and amazement at how boring and mechanical the whole process is. The worst part was dealing with my greedy lawyer.

Here is the lesson, the bigger the debt the smaller the penalty.

You can't pay a $1,000.00 medical bill apparently now you face humiliation, and possible jail time, in certain jurisdictions.

You declare bankruptcy on hundreds of millions in debt, you get elected president.

Bankruptcy laws have been passed by Congress that encourage big rollers to write off business losses and take advantage of certain types of losses to facilitate investment.

Be sure to tell Congress to write better bankruptcy laws because Donald Trump isn't the only person to ever take advantage of these laws.

You did not quite comprehend what this jurisdiction is doing. Since when does any person have to show up for a “debtor’s exam”. What the hell is that?

It's compelling Individuals to speak and to provide evidence against themselves. A blatant violation of the 5th Amendment.

Due process comes into immediate question. They're guilty until proven innocent. Similar to tax court where you have to fill out their forms and whatnot in order to prove your innocence conforming to their terms.
