Tim Allen recently tweeted a question. "How does taxing high income people help middle class people succeed?

What say you?

It does nothing for anyone except Democrat politicians. The profound stupidity of the rabble is staggering.

...................................................

It has to do with something Karl Marx figured out.

Because high income people have more wealth to be taxed. Fewer than 100 people have as much wealth as the poorest half of the world's population. You can tax the poor half of the world's population more, or you can tax those 85 people more because they can afford it.

How does lowering taxes for high income people help middle class people succeed?

It doesn't. But it satisfies the liberal need to "stick it to da man". ANd it help gets Democrats elected because somewhere somehow they've persuaded people they can take from rich people to fund freebies for them. That was the entire basis of deBlasio's campaign in NY. And he won.
The truth is that all classes are inderdependent and you can't hurt one without hurting all of them.

No one is taxing the world's population, dolt.

Lowering taxes increases the incentive to work harder. Harder work translates into more income down the line.
You wont understand this, having a genius IQ and all....

The "liberal" need to stick it to the man. What was the Nevada standoff, schmuck? An actual tea party? That was nothing but right-wing FOX-viewers trying to stick it to the man but getting everything wrong for all the wrong reasons.

As for interdependence, can you say "bailout"? Can you say "too big to prosecute"? The right-wing is perfectly okay with not hurting one class even when that class confesses to funding terrorism against America. HSBC confessed to funding terrorism against America. Right-wing Teabagger Republicans support Wall Street no matter what and bear arms against US Federal agents for the flimsiest of reasons.

Therefore, right-wing Teabagger Republicans are terrorists.

I would rather earn 1% off a 100 people's efforts than 100% of my own efforts.
--John D. Rockefeller

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men’s initiative and
independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them, what they could and should
do for themselves.
-- Abraham Lincoln

A democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.
--Alexis de Tocqueville

In liberal logic, if life is unfair then the answer is to turn more tax money over to politicians, to spend in ways that will increase their chances of getting reelected.
--Thomas Sowell

And Capt Irrelevant chimes in again.

I'd ask how someone could be this stupid but people prove it on these boards daily.

It's very simple, their taxes help support what is needed to create and sustain a Middle Class. It is a Creation BTW. Capitalism supports no such thing. It's Anti-Capitalist.

What does one thing have to do with the other? The rich get taxed more because they have all the fucking money. If they didn't pay taxes, then everybody else would have to pay more to make up for it. How would that benefit the middle?

If that was what he actually tweeted, I wonder if he means high income people should not pay any tax at all?

And I wonder if he wouldn't feel differently if he had remained in the middle class all these years instead of becoming a multi-millionaire from his television series? Perhaps I should send him my tag line.

The most sane thing we can do to gain some equilibrium in our economy is to eliminate the income tax and just have a sales tax. It would work brilliantly because the wealthy could either pony up for the Cessna, million dollar homes and exotic vacations I can never afford and pay a hefty sales tax, or just be stuck with groceries and dry goods at WalMart with the rest of the unwashed. ;)

The money has to come from somewhere and it's the high income people who have it.

Only a person wholly ignorant of how wealth is created could write such drivel with a straight face.

The progressives have completely destroyed economic literacy in America. Frightening.

First of all how dare anyone question this.
Tim we will overlook this....for now.
But expect a call from the office of the IRS...

The answer is we cannot have one element of society walk around feeling all good about themselves
and everyone else feeling bad.

So if you are an achiever and you have done well and have wealth you don't deserve it.
You probably were aggressive and worked harder and maybe put in longer hours then your family and friends and other people.

That's no fair to the rest of us.
That's a form of cheating and to make the rest of us feel better about ourselves we elect
Democrats that will help us make things right.

We will tax your ass and take what should be ours.
You put in the effort and we don't but we need to get paid.

How dare you question this....
You horrid little man! :eusa_whistle:

You are as moronic as they come. Congrats on being part of the Great Unwashed.

Show us how smart you are then. What's Full Employment in Capitalism? Hint: it's a percentage.

I see, so you know nothing of Capitalism. You can ignore the question above then.
