After all, they make the hiring decisions as well as collectively earn the most money, and stay in their positions on average for a longer period of time than players.

The players on the field or court are not all the NFL and NBA is. Each team is a corporation and they have office staff, trainers, dctors, etc.

But team owners are greedy white guys, right? They want to win to make more money, right? Are we supposed to believe that they are only willing to set aside their inherent racism when it comes to hiring black players vs when hiring black coaches and presidents? I've got news for you. They want to win so they can make more money. They will hire the best person for the job, regardless. The players are overwhelmingly black. Does that mean they are better athletes than most whites? If so, are you saying that certain races, in general, have certain advantages in certain areas?

Is there a general sentiment that black people are more athletic than white people or Asians? Is that racist? If so, do we need more diversity in the hiring of pro athletes? Should white guys get a 10 yard head start in the 40 and Asians a 15 yard head start, you know, just to make it fair? Would the teams be better or worse if they hired the white guy that got the head start?

AA hurts Asians. My young cousin just graduated from high school. He is a very good student and is 1/2 Asian. He debated on whether he should list Asian or white on his scholarship applications because he knew he would be put into a different pool. He chose white or mixed race for that very reason.

This is not a sports thread, however, I don't think his point is to advocate for redistribution of teams.

Professional sports is one of the few occupations where you typically will not get in the door if you don't have the physical ability to effectively compete against your peers.

The team owners, team presidents, head coaches and front office personnel are the ones who make the final decisions as far as who is selected to become a player in a professional sports franchise.

The players don't draft themselves into the NFL or the NBA.
