Trolley-Problem politics

The difference between the Trolley Problem and real life is that in real life we aren't limited to two contrived choices.

The trolley thing. Different premise: Light rail/trolleys. We get this yo-yo thing going on here. In the 50's we get GM and tire companies pushing BUSES because they are far more flexible than trolleys. Because it is Profitable.
But 40 years later, we get this, bring back TROLLEYS because they are what the people want and they are economical and let's built them! Really? Contractors and realtors and land speculators LOVE them, do we really NEED to bring back trolleys? You guys have your philosophical conundrums, we have our REAL ones.
