Uhmm amazes me that leftists think in a field of a dozen republicans of which McCain is not a choice that there is only a choice between McCain or Trump.

Then again Trump is running for the presidency and McCain isn't. Trump didn't just insult McCain, he insulted a lot of veterans as well. That's the point. Trump doesn't know where to stop. Trump should stick to his own campaign and not get easily sidetracked by the bull going on around him, that's what presidents do.

When you are running for the highest office in the land it's the fight of your life.

Do you really believe that McCain (war hero) or any other individual (war hero or non war hero) should be able to just willy nilly shit down a candidate's throat and insult he or she AND their voters and not expect payback?

Because I expect a candidate to push back and push back hard. That's how you win. You eliminate your opponents. You punish your critics.

This isn't a Dancing with the Stars competition here for the Mirror Ball Trophy.

These men and women are vying for the Presidency of America, the top job in the world.

This isn't about McCain. People are trying their hardest to divert this away from Trump. Who gives a damn what a guy who once stood for president has said or did? No one. He's gone, out the window.

In fact, most people don't think that Trump is an absolute moron for insulting McCain, if it were just McCain he insulted then people would just laugh.

But he didn't. He insulted all war veterans who have been captured and claimed that they're basically nothings, nobodies, they deserve to be forgotten, who cares that they risked their life for their country, just, they're losers and let's move on.

You expect a candidate to push hard. Sure you do, so does everyone else. But if you're wearing a condom and you break the condom, you're in deep shit, and Trump has pushed so desperately hard to be spoken about he's done in his own campaign by insulting a whole load of Americans, not once, but TWICE now.

And he's seeing that this is galvanising the herd of the Republican Party. Woopie, Palin did it too. And others. It's not bloody hard. But we know one thing about Tea Party people with big mouths and little brains: They don't get the Republican nomination.

Trump didn't get it 4 years ago, and nor did the Tea Party people. They put in the most Liberal Republican they could find.

He is and nobody can take that to him. But I have some questions.

How can someone who knows how horrible war is be so hawkish in pushing for more of it?

And how can someone who endured real torture compare his experience to the Romper Room treatment we gave terrorists at Gitmo?

And how can someone who fought for freedom seek to deny it to others through "campaign finance reform"?
