Trump is smart and successful

Trump is definitely smart and successful.
Donald Trump is a very successful serial con man.
He has used at best questionable business practices to make the fortune his father gave him larger. His abuse of bankruptcy laws has resulted many businesses and individual being bilked out of millions. He has promised millions to charities that he never followed through on.He abuses the legal system through over 3,000 law suits.
He is commiting biggest con of his career;a con of the entire American population.

His intelligence is exemplified by the fact he is not in jail after a life as a con man.

I am surprised we have not seen the story of him on TV's American Greed.
Wayne Barrett is a native New Yorker who's followed Trump's career since Donald made his move from Brooklyn forty years ago:
How a Young Donald Trump Forced His Way From Avenue Z to Manhattan

"'Everything is branding to Donald,' Barrett continues. 'He doesn’t really own much anymore. A couple of golf courses here and there, a building that he built 30 years ago. [But] he doesn’t own a great deal. What he does is market his name.'”
Barrett thinks Trump got into the race to enhance his brand. Trump's beginning to remind me of Ross Perot's campaign in '92 when Perot's ulterior motives for running came in conflict with success with the voters.

Trump is possibly more shocked than anyone that he has made it this far in the Presidential race.
His brand could be hurt by the amount of scrutiny he is receiving along with much criticism. He usually eliminates his critics in the business world. You cannot do so in politics.

Like Perot, Trump could actually lose power if he moved into the White House. Should the unlikely happen and Trump become the next POTUS, he will find it difficult, if not impossible, to deal with Republicans AND Democrats alike. If he can't deliver on his pledge to deport 11 million Americans, even his base may turn on him. Apparently one of the lessons Donald learned from his father, Fred, was to buy out every business partner circumstance initially forced them to accept. Obviously, that won't work in DC.
