Trump pledges to support legal marijuana in a blow to Sessions

Pot is not a drug it's gawd dam plant.

Those PRESCRIBED meds are drugs and drugs that more addicting than a plan could ever be in the canabis world at least.

The plant contains a chemical called THC. That chemical has mind altering properties, which makes it an illicit drug.

Hah! So you'd ban coffee, tea, soda, and chocolate, if caffeine is out. What about nicotine? Death penalty for that if taken outside a medical setting, too?

Yes. I mentioned smoking in my first comment on the topic.

Nicotine occurs naturally in a number of foods, including potatoes and tomatoes. At this rate drugs won't be a problem, because you'll just be starving everyone to death. :lmao:

Ah, so you are now going to determine the amounts of drugs people can have without a doctor. Hey, what if doctors say it is perfectly acceptable for someone to use caffeine, or alcohol, or marijuana? :D

The acceptable amount of any prohibited substabce is the amount lower than that necessary to cause an effect on the body or mind.

Doctors don't get to make Moral determinations. The denial of these substances is a Moral, not a medical, issue. Therefore Doctors have no say in the matter.

That's odd, considering you earlier made the presence of a medical professional or being in a hospital a requirement for using medication. ;)

So this is a moral issue, but one which requires the presence of medical professionals, but the medical professionals have no say....are you sure you've actually thought this through?

Only the flowers. The many other parts of the plant (with uses including but by no means limited to paper, fabric, rope, oil, and fuel) contain no THC.

Many things cause altered mental states. Off the top of my head: motorcycle racing, Tough Truck events, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, motorbike trials, hare scrambles, motocross, enduros, good sex, whitewater rafting, surfing...hell, riding a motorcycle on a winding road.
