Sounds like you believe in guilty until proven innocent.Insurrection is an act.
If they say he engaged in it, there you go.
Elections for President are done by the states.
At the rate things are going in our nation you may actually witness a real insurrection in the near future. No, you have to start with an actual insurrection. That’s what January 6 was. And Donald J Trump led that for him to be the beneficiary of it. He was not just some stupid Ashli Babbitt, dying for a president who lied to her. He lied so much got the dumb woman killed.
Which, they will gladly send their SS to him, just like last time.Don't worry. Billionaire Trump will appeal.
Using YOUR money.
Trump doesn't have to be proven guilty.Sounds like you believe in guilty until proven innocent.
I expect they will.
The fascinating thing to me will be how the other GQP "candidates" (ha ha) react to this. They have to attack it.
Seems like they're constantly having to protect him.
/——/ What is the exact quote telling followers to storm the capital? The 14th amendment does not require conviction. Trump did engage in insurrection. We saw his speech on TV on January 6.
Like hell they were not.The Constitution of the United States was not addressing states rights when it addressed due process.
the exact quote
Especially since he has never been convicted of insurrection.
The SCOTUS is going to spank the Colorado SC.
Good to know all Red States can now keep all Democrats off the ballot.Does not require a conviction. Read the 14th.
Yeap. That's going nowhere.
The US Supreme Court will slap this down.
Good to know all Red States can now keep all Democrats off the ballot.
They all are in insurrectionists, duh.Actually they can't. There has to be a Constitutional violation for that to happen.
Putinism isn't going to work for you in this case.
I'd be surprised if that ruling lasts overnight.
Some were convicted of seditious conspiracy, sedition, which is included in the same set of U.S. CODE as treason, insurrection, aiding the enemy from within or outside, and sedition etc.But since nobody is or has been involved in an insurrection against America, that point is moot. FYI NONE of those arrested for supposed crimes on J6 were charged with or convicted with treason or insurrection.
The Constitution says clearly that no conviction is required for the disqualification....so a conviction is not required...it seems?Ok....
Hundreds of posts and not one that addresses the truth.
We are a Republic. Not a true democracy.
We vote for a slate of electors in the electoral college who may vote however they wish. And when they vote republican those electors will still vote for Trump if he wins that state.
That's how it works.
And Trump has not been CONVICTED of insurrection.
Did they incite an insurrection through election subversion?Good to know all Red States can now keep all Democrats off the ballot.
Yes, they did.Did they incite an insurrection through election subversion?
Did you or any Trumper actually read the supreme court decision in this case?Yes, they did.
Don’t even need a criminal trial.
